A warm, authentic homestay experience in the heart of Ubud.

This lovely homestay offers a warm, cozy experience with a Balinese family right in the heart of Ubud. It gives you a different perspective of staying in the center—one that feels grounded and deeply connected to local life. Across the way is a temple where the community actively practices and preserves its music and arts, adding to the authentic atmosphere. If you’re looking to live more like a local while still being close to everything, this is a wonderful choice. The room is spacious, clean, and excellent value for money, and for those who enjoy exploring, a beautiful paddy field is just a 10-minute walk away through charming little alleys. An amazing stay every time—I’m a returning customer and will gladly come back again.

The location was excellent, close to everything yet still peaceful. Shops, restaurants, cafes, and amenities were all within easy reach. Made our stay very convenient. Komang, Wayan, and family were friendly and helpful!

Lovely stay at the Hidden Bali Inn. From the moment we arrived the family was wonderful. The room was spacious and clean and very relaxing in a traditional Balinese setting. The breakfast was very yummy and freshly prepared. It was a convenient location near the centre of Ubud.

Nice Property - but Solo Female Travels go to this place only if okay with sudden aggression from the owner

The location was lovely, the room well kept, very comfortable bed. There are birds and sometimes dogs who are very active in their sounds in the morning and night respectively, but it wasn't inconvenient at all.

WhatsApp response is pretty slow, room doesn't have a mug or a glass by default, so that's an inconvenient thing to discover in the morning when your water has been boiling. I wasn't asked about my breakfast the night before, so I didn't quite feel comfortable asking in the morning. That's a minor detail. I had been interacting with the wife of the inn owner, she was pleasant enough. Water pressure was very low in the shower, a deep wash would help unclog the shower pores. One very unpleasant experience was, at the very end of the trip that left such a sour taste in my mouth! The lady offered that her husband could drop me to the airport, at 450k. When I checked on Grab, I saw the rates being between 370k-410k. So I asked if the rates could be reduced a bit based on what I'd seen on Grab. Out come the owner of this place, with such aggression!!! As to why we compared, and if we really wanted to give our money to the Capitalists (Grab). When I said it's my money, so I'd like to compare, he took great offense, said that he has a superior car, with "expensive and better" fuel, and that he is a local, and not a "capitalist" (sorry but the repeated use of that word made him seem so ignorant!). I requested him to stop his tirade, because it was definitely killing the mood and the vibe, but that also he found rude and said I could go because he had many other customers who would give him money for his rooms. Frankly, I wonder if he was drunk, because that level of rudeness was so uncalled for. Very un-Balinese. This was my 5th visit to Ubud and I haven't encountered someone this toxic and non friendly before.

Simple & quiet retreat.

The breakfast was very nice and tasty.

Bathroom water was terrible. it is either cold or boiling hot. I know it is a cheap stay but the least they could do is to let you have a decent shower. We couldn't even have a proper shower.

Excellent stay, lovely room, very close to town

Excellent stay within the family compound. Room was quiet and spotlessly clean. Breakfast alternated every day and was very good. Very good location on a street with several shops and cafes, about 10 minutes walk from the palace and the centre of town.

Authentic stay in Bali

The location is very peaceful and restful, placed in an authentic house compound. Great position to visit Ubud: it is 5' on walk from the royal palace and the market. Across the street there is a community temple where it is possibile to admire traditional dances and spectacles. The host is always ready to help and guide you across Bali with different available tours. He is strogly akwnoledged of Balinese culture and a great photographer!

everything. located in an oasis just outside of the center of town. easy to go anywhere. fabulous rooms. friendly and helpful staff. great breakfasts and other fare. they will pick you up or take you anywhere for a reasonable fee. best of all, an incredible value.

Really amazing place!! Quiet place in a center of Ubud. Very comfortable beds and very delicious breakfast ❤️ the owners are kind and carrying. Make you feel like home ❤️everything was perfekt and amazing. We would like to come back as soon as possible! Highly recomended!!

Clean and spacious room in a very nice Homestay. Great value for money.

My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower has good pressure. Wayan and his wife were nice and friendly and went above and beyond in their service to arrange day trips around Ubud and transport to the Gili’s.

There were some small ants in the room which the owner immediately took care of and they were gone within one day.

the staff were fantastic, very friendly, helpful and keen to ensure you had an amazing stay! Wayan gave us a half day tour of northern Bali which was something I highly recommended discussing if you stay at this property. he’s very informative, friendly and a great tour guide! thanks so much for a fantastic stay!

We stayed here for almost 4 weeks and highly recommend staying here if you're in Ubud!

This inn is located in a very convenient, central part of Ubud and is run by a lovely, local family that has lived here for generations. They work hard to make this a clean, comfortable accommodation and treat their guests like family. The rooms are very well maintained, beds are quite comfortable, WiFi is fast and reliable, and the owners go great lengths to make sure their guests are taken care of. Tour packages, scooter rentals, room service, and more are also offered here. This inn is also conveniently located across from a local temple so if you are looking to see a kecak show, you can buy tickets from the owners here. Every morning, a homemade breakfast is served by Komang, who also went out of her way to serve us breakfast at 5:45am in the morning before we departed to the airport! Other guests we spoke to also loved it here and mentioned how clean the rooms were and how conveniently-situated the inn is.

Nothing we can think of, we were well taken care of here. Only issue we had was from another guest who didn't respect the quiet hours here who was drunk and disorderly. Otherwise, all other guests were quiet and respectful.

The best place in Bali we stayed during our monthly trip.

I liked absolutely everything about this place and during our Bali trip it is definitely my favourite accommodation. The place itself is beautifully maintained, the room comfortable and spacious, very clean. It has all the facilities you need. The breakfasts, which are included in the price, delicious and of considerable size. Plus coffee/tea which you can pretty much always have at your disposal. However, the real treasure of this place are its hosts - a wonderful, smug Balinese family. No one before (and after) has received and hosted us so wonderfully. We could count on all sorts of help - from organising excursions, hiring a scooter, lending us a sarong we needed to enter the temple, or just having a nice chat together 'about life'. We highly recommend this place to everyone and hope to come back. Once again, thank you very much for your kind hospitality.

Value for money! Can’t imagine to get a better place in Bali than this at this price!

Just the kind of place we were looking for! Initially we booked it for just one day, but then booked it for 3 more days! Mr. Wayan is a great host and just the perfect guide you need for the day tours in Bali. Room: We stayed in quite a few hotels, but, the Hidden Inn has the biggest room of all! Our room was really clean, had an ac, a comfortable and luxurious bed, homely decor, a big and clean bathroom, and a a big and beautiful patio! Host: We were hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Wayan who made us feel at home! We also booked the day tours to East and West Bali, and Ubud with Mr. Wayan which I feel was a great decision we made for he has a comfy Toyota Innova, speaks good English and knows the routes and the place really well. Bot Only did he took us around the Bali but was a great guide and help us take great pictures! Mrs. Kayon, ensured we had the breakfast on our table everyday spot on time and we really loved the taste and freshness of it! We had a memorable tour in Bali and The Hidden Inn was one of the best part of it!

Wonderful little place close to the heart of Ubud but quiet. Wayan and Komang (and their puppy!) will welcome you to their family. Komang is an excellent cook and Wayan can help you with any travel or tour needs (and for a better price than elsewhere). Twice they helped me out in a bind. Really wonderful little place

This was our second time here. We stayed here in 2019 and now again in 2021. that‘s how much we loved it! The owners are so friendly and the room is super clean. The family even invited us to eat durian together. When we are back in Ubud in a few years, we will 100% stay here again. Also the noodle soup is great! Also it is the best hotel when it comes to area & price. Ubud Art market is 2 minutes away with the scooter. There is also a small supermarkt in front of the hotel. Don’t hesitate to book here! An exceptional, unique and beautiful homestay near the center of Ubud.

I had a really exceptional stay at Hidden Bali Inn and can't wait to come back. The hosts, Wayan and Komang, make you feel part of the family. You'll have opportunities to participate in traditional Balinese ceremonies, if you like. Wayan is also a skilled driver and guide who can show you many fascinating places in Bali. They are truly wonderful, caring and generous hosts, even looking after me with great kindness when I fell ill. The homestay is located in a traditional family compound, so you can witness real Bali life on a day to day basis. The room is perfectly clean and well-furnished. And the food is simply amazing! You can try all kinds of local dishes and authentic Balinese home-cooking. The location is also perfect; very close to the center of Ubud and to rice fields for walking and taking photos. This was the best, most comfortable and most caring place I stayed at during my entire 1.5 year stay in Indonesia. Also, the Wifi signal is very strong and consistent, for those of you who might need to work from the room. I am very thankful for Wayan's family's hospitality and feel lucky to have spent time with them. I really look forward to seeing them again and very highly recommend staying at Hidden Bali Inn.
