About this house rental

Our purpose built holiday home is located in the heart of One Tree Point, very close to the Marsden Cove waterways and marina development. Nestled near the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on a very sheltered section, it is only steps from a beautiful safe swimming beach within the Whangarei Harbour. The Bach sleeps 6 with a maximum of 4 adults, it offers plenty of off street parking, and is equipped with a handy hot/cold outdoor shower for easy sand removal after a day at the beach. One Tree Point is a fabulous beach side holiday destination located half and hours drive south of Whangarei, and only 90 minutes drive from central Auckland. Located near the entrance of the Whangarei Harbour, it offers easy launching and safe boating all year round and many safe swimming locations. Facilities within easy walking distance of our bach include a fabulous waterside cafe, liquor wholesaler, hair and beauty therapist and local dairy. A childrens playground is close by and we are only a few minutes drive from the Ruakaka shopping centre.
Special conditions:
Duvets and pillows are provided on all beds, but bring your own sheets, pillowcases, towels and teatowels.
Smoking allowed outside only leaving no evidence.
No extra overnight quests without prior approval.

About this house rental

Great place. Just have to make sure you take everything you need including toilet paper. Really enjoyed the stay.

Unfortunately there was a plumbing problem as the smell of sewage was dreadful the entire stay. Less than 1/4 roll of toilet paper supplied. My bad forgetting to bring some so had to drive into Ruakaka to purchase some. Filthy dirty bbq with old oil & burnt food left on the hot plate. NO GAS BOTTLE supplied as promised. Thought this was a NO PETS bach but had two kittens take up residence each day. Couldn't shut them out as the smell from the bathroom was unbearable without air circulating around us. The kittens constantly climbed the benches/table stealing our food. Everytime the fridge door opened they were into it. Pretty sure they peed in the corner of the lounge & over by the TV. Had to drive into Fresh Choice again to buy Detol Spray as the smell from cat urine was not pleasant. Had to lift the curtains up off the floor to stop them climbimg up. Lounge suite was their scratching post. Lastly...to top off our experience there was a power cut. Therefore couldn't cook inside nor outside without a gas bottle & the right equipment to clean that dreadful bbq plate.Not a great experience staying at this bach at all. I hope the plumbing is seen to before the next person comes to stay & the gas bottle returned full. The cleaner should have checked that bbq as the rules state "if you use it, clean it afterwards."

Nice and tidy. Solid bach with great bi-folding deck doors on a quiet street. We were lucky to have a sunny day when we stayed in between the rainy days which were in Auckland. Everything you needed was there. We all enjoyed our stay.

This Bach was perfect for our young family of five who stayed just over a week. We loved its thoughtful construction - functional clean & robust. Items like the outdoor shower, large covered area & fish filleting area just make washing down Sandy kids & boogie boards a breeze. Even through a cyclone & a rainy week, it’s location near the school, cafe, beach etc meant our family had a great stay & would love the opportunity to stay again. The owners were great with comms & no fuss, even keeping us aware of planned council works in the area etc. Thank you so much.

This is a great bach in a great spot. Super clean and well equipped, we had everything we needed. Fabulous covered deck to sit under in all weather. We enjoyed wandering around Marsden Point and seeing the boats coming and going. Loved our stay and will go again.

Great property for our small family, the bach has a great beach vibe and is relaxing place to chill out and spend some down time, small beach at the end of the street and plenty other beaches that are a short drive, the place was clean and tidy, is well equipped and has a great deck which opens up from the lounge area. Great spot with a modern near-new bach with everything you need. Close to everything and a walkway to a safe beach area for kids a few metres away. Had a fun four days including a trip to the Hen & Chickens for some quite productive fishing. Great little cafe down the road too.

Had a great get away, beach at the end of the road with great swimming at high tide, 5 mins drive from Marina or 10 to Ruakaka Beach. All you need at the property for a very comfortable stay, we will be back!

Bright and modern bach, comfortable beds, and great (warm) outdoor shower. Fans provided for all rooms. Large covered deck for relaxed outdoor dining. Short stroll to harbour beach where we snorkeled and paddle boarded. Nice quiet friendly neighbourhood with low traffic volume. Two hob burner a little frustrating. Overall we really enjoyed this place.
