A paradise far from crowds. Great for hiking.

Relaxed beachside room with good breakfast.

Comfortable beds. Relaxed environment. Had options of kayaks/ paddleboards to use for free. In a nice bay. Were able to kayak out to floating restaurant in the bay. Aircon in rooms good. Cleaned regularly. Staff were nice. Good breakfast - bread, ham, cheese, fruit, cake and a juice alongside hot drinks. They had a daily morning boat shuttle to Abraao for tours etc.

Occasional bugs in room - on a tropical island so to be expected. The kitchen in club MV closed approx 6pm. There was restaurant 1 min walk away but we went at 7pm and they were closing so could be limited for dinner time meals. We never paid for a water taxi to property so cannot comment on how much this would be.

Hidden Gem

It’s a lovely place! The accommodation has everything you need, it includes transportation from/to Abraao-Saco do Ceu. You will have the opportunity to walk over different beaches, the place is nearby good restaurants (including the one at Club MV, the food was delicious!) They also include a daily breakfast with different options :) The staff and owner make you feel at home.

We knew the WiFi was not good but we didn’t care as we wanted time to disconnect. Just be aware that the WiFi issues are indeed true.

A great accomodation on Ilha grande. The view from your room is amazing when you wake up. Nice and quiet with great hospitality service and breakfast. Very cute with cats and kittens walking around. Pickup by boat is in good communication.

amazing, quiet location with good access to hiking trails, staff was very friendly, pickups from- and to the harbour were arranged free of charge, diverse water activities free of charge, loved the patio with amazing views! Breakfast was great.

Relaxed getaway

Very relaxed atmosphere with a lot of free activities such as kayak, cannoe, paddle, a bit of snorkel, swimming pool, tropical paths to empty beaches, etc. Everything close so there is no stress planning. There are a lot of fauna, including turtles, we saw 3 in a single day. The host, Marcos is brilliant, super welcoming and is eager to help make your stay as good as possible. The restaurant and breakfast are quite good, I recommend the pastel de camarão and Catupiry, divinal. Drinks are good too, the maracujá maluco drink is my favourite! Recommended

If you plan to travel around the island, MV club might be a bit inconvenient as it is a bit isolated. Take your time there and go after doing the boat tours from Abraão, it is still worth it!

Fantastic location for the perfect nature escape!

Loved the staff - my partner and I had breakfast & dinner there everyday, they were super nice and the food was all home made! Marcos, the owner of the place, speaks English and is very communicative, making things easier.

Not something I didn’t like, but be mindful of boat trips and how to go back to Marcos’s location (not in Abraão), as it might cost you some money to get back from the port.

The staff and the owner are amazing. Marcos provide free boat shuttle to the main beach (Abraão) which make it easier. There is a nice dinner at the property so you are just fine there. The view is amazing.

Um pouco distante do Abraão e praias turísticas, porém possuem o táxi Boat próprio e contato de outros para nos apoiar na locomoção.

Um paraíso em Ilha Grande!

Gostei de tudo. O lugar é lindo, a localização excelente, o atendimento é maravilhoso. Um lugar pra voltar várias vezes.

Muy mejorable

Está en una zona muy tranquila perfecta para hacer senderismo. Desayuno generoso, si bien muy poco variado, El aire acondicionado es bueno.

No considero que sea la mejor opción si es tu primera vez en la isla y quieres conocer sus playas más famosas, ya que la mayoría de las excursiones parten desde Abrãao. Aunque el hotel por la mañana te lleva hasta este puerto, la realidad es que muchas excursiones terminan allí, y el hotel se desentiende a la hora de recogerte. Esto te obliga a contratar un taxi bote para regresar, que suele costar entre 40 y 50 euros por apenas 15 minutos de trayecto. El plan b sería volver andando que pueden ser fácilmente 3 horas. A excepción del tour que da la vuelta a la isla y que, en algunos casos, puede dejarte en el hotel, la mayoría de las excursiones —como las que llevan a Lopes Mendes o a las Islas Paraíso — siempre terminan en Abrãao. A modo de ejemplo, después de insistir bastante en el hotel para encontrar una solución para ir a la playa de Lopes Mendes, me facilitaron el contacto de un vecino de la zona que ofrecía excursiones en su barco particular. En principio parecía una solución para evitar tener que volver desde Abrãao por mi cuenta, pero la propuesta no resultó nada conveniente: me cobraba prácticamente el doble que las excursiones que salen desde Abrãao, además de que tenía que adaptarme a su horario, saliendo muy temprano —al comenzar su jornada laboral— y regresando por la noche. Esto implicaba estar en la playa de Lopes Mendes unas ocho horas, algo poco práctico y agotador si solo buscas disfrutar la visita y no pasar todo el día allí. Creo sinceramente que no le costaría nada al hotel organizar un servicio de recogida tras las excursiones, ya que el trayecto es corto y fácil. Marcaría la diferencia. Por otro lado, el hotel está ubicado en una zona pintoresca, pero no cuenta con una playa adecuada. Lo que hay frente al hotel es una especie de manglar bastante descuidado y con barro, donde nunca vi a nadie bañándose. Para llegar a una playa en condiciones, es necesario hacer una caminata de unos 15-20 minutos por un sendero de la selva.

Endroit superbe!

Nous avons passé une semaine ici. C’était un super séjour. L’endroit est vraiment éloigné de la ville donc on peut se reposer complètement. Le petit déjeuner est incroyable et le personnel qui gère la cuisine le matin aussi ! Ils sont très très gentils et la nourriture est excellente. Il y a des plages à 15 min de marche mais pour le reste de l’île il faut passer par Abraão donc il faut compter 2h de marche (1h30 pour les randonneurs) ou payer (cher) des bateaux taxis. Nous aimons marcher donc c’était génial ! Les pastéis de camarão de la pousada sont incontournables ! Le seul bémol : si vous avez des problèmes de dos, sachez que le matelas est plutôt mou. À part ça, endroit génial.

Para um casal que procura tranquilidade lá é local certo. Super tranquilo, não tinha bagunça, os funcionários são prestativos e atenciosos. Único problema é que a internet fica caindo por não ter sinal de operadora dependermos do Wi-fi.

Me senti confortavel na pousada

Eu gostei principalmente da receptividade do Marcos, dono da pousada, deu varias dicas sobre passeio e se mostrou o tempo todo preocupado com o nosso conforto

A localização, só dá para chegar de barco na pousada. A pousada até oferece um transfer de manhã para ir ao centrinho, mas precisa se virar para voltar e os taxi boats são carissimos na região.
