Well... as a mainstream tourist traveling to Brazil and completely obsessed with Pão de queijo... the lack of it for brekfast was heartbreaking.

Very good welcome & hospitality, with easy access to the ferry, tours & restaurants.

The welcome & briefing were excellent. WhatsApp directions were sent in advance, which was very helpful. We were offered a choice between 2 rooms, which was nice - one with a third bed (more space), the other with a larger corner balcony rather than a single balcony. Both were cheerfully decorated & had good storage. We opted for more space. The bed was double (not king) but very comfortable indeed. A nice shower room with large shower cubicle. The pousada is simple, thoughtfully decorated (with local artworks, including boats, islands & colourful fish) & well set up. (Note there is no lift as it's an older building.) It's just 70 meters from the ferry point, so very easy for access, tours etc. Breakfast was varied & nicely presented - fresh coffee in a flask for each table; fresh fruit, pastries, cakes, & also omelettes or local filled tapiocas (a kind of dry pancake made from tapioca flour) made to order. Tea & coffee with cake are provided free at 4pm daily - a very nice touch, especially after an outing, or if it's raining! The setting is in the middle of all the activity of Abraao, off the "main" pedestrianised street on the seafront, in a narrow side street with shops, tour outlets & eateries. Despite that we found it quiet, especially at night, & were there during a weekend. If you want isolation, & a beachfront paradise place there are locations like that but all would involve a water taxi to reach them. Posada Casablanca was a very nice, friendly, easy-access place close to restaurants & the port & tours/water taxis, which was what we wanted. Highly recommended for a short stay.

Really disappointing accommodation ...

Location was good

- Very bad value for money. Very expensive for what it is, you can get much better for less. - Noise coming from everywhere: Street (until 1am), corridors, rooms next door. We slept very poorly. - Windows didn't even shut properly, creating extra noise and cold. - Reception was empty almost all the time, meaning we couldn't complain about our room, or book tours of the island. - Breakfast was very average at best. We DON'T recommend this place.

Wonderful

An exceptional small hotel! The breakfast was wonderful and our room was super clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing and super friendly. A special thanks to Priscilla who went above and beyond to give us an outstanding experience both at the hotel and on the island. The hotel also arranges tours around the island as well as transfers to and from the island. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel

Another amazing stay!

Second time staying here, even staying in the same room. 7 years passed since our last stay and the Pousada and room are still in the same well maintained and clean condition. All staff are super friendly and welcoming and also supportive in finding the right day tours. It was fantastic returning!

Terrible service, No working shower, Stay Away

The shower does not work, besides the bed being very very hard. I have a video on the shower, it is just ridiculous… and the hotel denied to reimburse too. Very unpleasant service.

Superb

Location in the center of abraão (just a little hidden from the sea). Very nice breakfast and nice staff that prepared something gluten free (tapioca) for me. They helped to arrange the transfer to the island (even though awful company for the transfer)

The staff - Priscilla and Juliana were both very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Being able to take a shower after checkout so we could make the most of the beach on our last day. Location is also super convenient. Lovely vibe, would definitely recommend.

The room was slightly small, the triple room was OK for 2 people but would have been a squeeze with 3. A reading light by the bed would also have been nice.

Fantastic location - 1 minute walk from the pier. Staff were very friendly and a lovely breakfast was provided. Highly recommend. Also a great restaurant just opposite accommodation.

fabulous location and lots of character. the breakfast was delicious and there was coffee and cake available during the afternoon. Priscilla was always helpful and attentive

Friendly and quaint

Priscila was very friendly and helped us book on some boat trips around the island, which we really enjoyed - and the price of the tours is the same as anywhere else you buy them. She also helped arrange our transfer to Rio. Hotel very easily accessible and right in the centre, but tucked away so still quiet at night.

Breakfast very poor - small selection and it was sitting out in the heat with flies around it, so not appetising. Our room was very hot as the aircon/fan didn't do much, and also small. The window wasn't fully sealed and the cleaners would leave the balcony door open which let mosquitos in.

Its a really good pousada. Rooms are good and cozy. The building is really beautifull. Breakfast is good. And the staff is amazing. They also arrange tours for you and transfers to Rio. They are really helpfull. Actually the touragent made a mistske, but our hostess arranged something we still could go on the tour. I think its the best facillity on the island. You wanna be here.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpfull. Upon arrival, the staff offered us with home-made fresh melon-mango juice, which was more than a welcome refreshment. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and the bed was really comfortable! The breakfast was amazing home-made food. Very central location, straight from the pier, although the street is relatively quiet. The staff helped us to book our transfer back to Rio and we were able to leave the luggage on our last day before our departure. All-in-all, we really enjoyed staying here!

Very pleasant stay

The location is great, very close to the boat embarque, restaurants and supermarkets, but still very quiet. We had a private room for two with a sweet little balcony. Everything was spotless, AC and ventilator worked perfectly. Shower has great water pressure. There was a TV but we didn't use it. There is also a safe. Breakfast was amazing, there are so many things to chose from and they are all tasty. The staff was very nice and helpful. They speak a little bit of English.

Comfortable hotel stay on Ilha Grande

Friendly hotel in the centre of Abraão on Ilha Grande. We received a warm greeting despite not speaking any Portuguese. The breakfast was excellent and the room was clean, complete with a small balcony and lovely view of the street. Only stayed for one night, but could have stayed longer if we had the time.
