A lovely stay

The place is in a good lovation. Very close to the beach but quiet and away from the crowds. Breakfast is served from 8-10 and they add new options to the menu daily so you can always find something a bit different. The rooms have A/C in case you are visiting during a very hot season.

We had some trouble connecting to the wifi. On some rooms, there was a very poor connection and some days there was no connection at all. I guess it depends on the overall electricity of the island as well

A very pleasant stay, made memorable by the kindness of the team and the beauty of Ilha Grande.

I stayed at Posada Cauca with my daughter and we couldn’t have asked for a better base to enjoy Ilha Grande. The rooms are simple but among the best the island offers—comfortable, clean, and with everything you need for a relaxed stay. The shower water temperature and pressure were perfect, a small detail that makes a big difference after a day on the beach. Daily cleaning was also a real plus, especially since you can’t throw toilet paper in the toilet here—it keeps everything fresh and easy. Breakfast was excellent every morning: fresh, plentiful, and varied enough to feel special. The staff are truly what make this place shine—kind, welcoming, and attentive. Rafael, in particular, went above and beyond, helping with absolutely every request. We visited at the perfect time of year: warm, sunny days without oppressive humidity, heat, or bugs. The island itself is a world heritage site with breathtaking beaches, and the location made it easy to enjoy it all.

Honestly, nothing stood out as a problem. On the rare occasion something came up, it was handled immediately and with genuine care. One small suggestion would be to provide a place to hang wet clothes so they can dry overnight, as things tended to stay humid inside.

excellent choice

I did a lot of reading before, and I am very happy I arrived here and chose this place for what I wanted: relaxation, cleanliness, and a base for trips. It is not far away from the main pier.. just a few minutes walking.. but you will have just enough distance from the noise - so you can sleep well during the night. The property is clean, the garden is wonderful, you can see the care and attention for the place and the guests. The room was clean, air conditioner, fan, fridge, and clean bathroom with hot water. Good wi-fi. Breakfast was sufficient, nothing extraordinary. Very good choice for first time in Ilha Grande. Be sure to plan the "volta ilha" round the island trip from the first day, in order to find free spots. Trip to Lopez Mendes is mandatory! but you can always take a boat there and go in your desired pace. Ilha Grande is a fab place to chill. Buy mosquito repellent for evenings :)

Nice and peaceful stay

The location is superb: close to the best restaurants and bars in Abraao, but not in a busy street so we slept very well. Our room was spacious and very clean. We highly appreciated the possibility to use a bathroom and shower after check-out, it was practical since went to the beach before getting the ferry back to Angra. Staff was super friendly and helpful!

The breakfast was ok, but it could have been better, with more options and nets over the fruits to prevent flies... When we arrived, our bedroom windows were completely open, which was annoying because then we had mosquitoes in the room. The wi-fi was very slow in our room.

We had an amazing time!

The staff was very friendly. The breakfast very good with great variety of products. The beds were comfortable. The outside space was very "family-friendly", there is even a yoga/zen area which is very pleasant. Overall, a great stay!

The is nothing we did not like. A kitchen space the travelers could use would be a nice improvement.

Encantadora e aconchegante, tudo muito organizado e limpo super indico.

sim , muito gostoso e tudo muito frasquinho frutas e ovos mexidos feitos na hora.

Não ter lugar pra estender as roupas molhadas e lavadas dentro do quarto. Porém somente quando fomos embora que ficamos sabendo do varal externo.

Une pousada remplie de charme

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans la pousada Caúca. L’emplacement était parfait, à deux pas des rues piétonnes. Le personnel très accueillant et gentil, le petit déjeuner propose un large choix de plats différents. Nous avons pu profiter de l’espace extérieur avec la piscine extérieure.
