MAMBEMBE hostel - Ilha Grande, Vila do Abraão

Great location, close to beach walks and great bars, but still very peaceful. The bed was super comfy with lots of pillows. The communal kitchen was well-equipped and there’s a stocked bar to buy drinks from at reception. We loved the cute mischievous cat that stays on the property. The staff were helpful and friendly, even made our bed and tidied our room after our first night which was very sweet!

Our room was pretty small and tucked away at the back, so we didn’t spend much time there but the communal area has a lot of sitting room and places to chill out and relax. Some advice if you are travelling with big suitcases: the walk to the accommodation via the road is very bumpy and will be frustrating without renting a trailer. We didn’t do that because it was R$60 but on our return, the reception staff kindly gave us a wheelbarrow to use which was a massive help! You can enter through the beach side but there is a small river running through it to get across.

Great location right on the beach. They have chairs you can borrow for the beach as you need. Staff are really lovely and welcoming. Comfortable overall. Miguel 🐈 is the star of the show.

Very minor problems, water was luke warm at best. A couple of parasols to lend out would also be amazing as there are no trees for shade on the beach where they are located. This isn’t a detriment to them at all, just a suggestion for the future.

O quarto tem bom tamanho, possui frigobar e o ar refrigerado é novo. A localização é ótima, se for pela praia, se chega bem rápido aos restaurantes e comércio em geral.

A área externa da pousada requer mais cuidados, o chalé principal está em obras e, acredito q por esse motivo, foi construído uma cozinha comunitária no parte de fora. A área dos fundos do terreno da pousada tb precisa de organização.
