Pousada Rubi

We loved our stay at Rubi Pousada. Gabi and Bea made us feel so welcome and took such great care of us. Everything from the location on the beach to the cleanliness of the rooms to the soothing hot tubs to the delightful dining room was absolutely wonderful. If you’re planning a trip to Ilha Grande, stay at Rubi Pousada!

The breakfast was excellent. Good coffee, plenty of fruits, cakes, freshly made eggs and tapioca. More interestingly, they also offer an afternoon tea with a lot of these things as well, which is a great surprise for when we were coming back from hiking or a boat trip. The staff is so friendly it made us feel right at home. They were always one step ahead of us and took care of everything. There's a jacuzzi and a sauna upstairs and it's a great way to wrap up the day and watch the sunset. The room was very clean, AC was working fine and the shower was plentiful and warm. And they even have a resident cat, Wesley.

The location is perfect, near all facilities and restaurantes but also in the quiet part of Abraão. Breakfast was superb every morning and we really enjoyed the ofurô and sauna during sunset. Though, the highlight goes to the staff, everyone was so polite and friendly me and my son felt like we were among friends. That, for sure, made the whole experience unforgiving and we will definitely come back!

The staff, particularly Gabbi and Beatrice, were very friendly and exceptionally attentive to our needs - particularly that of our 10-year old autistic son. The pousada was relaxed, beautifully decorated and kept in a very clean and tidy state. Breakfast was lovely, and coffee and cake was served (for free) at 4pm-5.30pm which was a bonus (the freshly made banana cake was divine!).

There was nothing we didn't like about our stay here.
