The perfect pousada! ⭐️

Amazing location, staff was lovely (big shoutout to Bea, Gabi and Núbia in the reception). Complimentary tea is awesome. Facilities, decoration and overall vibe. Wesley, the lovely cat that is around the facilities. Their outstanding Bistró. The room (room 1 with sea view) is charming.

Amazing place to stay

This is an amazing pousada in Abraão. We had a room facing the sea. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. In the afternoon they serve a small snack, which was also very good.

Great location

Staying at Pousada Rubi was a very positive experience. I had a room with a sea view which made the stay even more enjoyable. The location was excellent since at the beach and still close to the village center. Personnel behavior including service was great so all in all I recommend P. Rubi and also plan to be back for another stay.

Lovely stay in Ilha Grande.

This is a beautiful hotel just in front of the beach in the best area of Ilha Grande with lots of bars and restaurants. The staff is excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. The afternoon tea served every day was a must.

The bathroom in our ground floor room could have a window.

Amazing location right on the beach, lovely rooms, very friendly and helpful staff who made us feel very welcome and looked after all our requests. With your booking you get to use the hot tub and sauna which was really special.

Felt like a dream! A luxury getaway on Ilha Grande and what will now be my go-to accommodation on the island!

It was BEAUTIFUL. The rooms and facilities were absolutely spotless and it felt like staying at a luxury villa. We received complementary breakfast every morning as well as an afternoon tea with snacks and coffee. INCREDIBLE!

Everything was great. We had one mishap with one room and immediately got an upgrade to the best suite they had!

Lovely beachside guesthouse, with comfy room and friendly staff

Lovely guesthouse in a nice location by the beach, but far enough away from the noise and bustle. Nice breakfast and evening team. The front desk team Gabi and Bia absolutely made our stay with their friendly welcome, excellent excursion and restaurant recommendations and all round friendliness.

I wish we had stayed more than 1 night!

The girls that work here are so lovely and helpful! They made our stay here as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. We checked in early after moving from another not so nice pousada in Abraao and they managed to get us into our room straight away. Our room was very clean and smelled lovely. We enjoyed the free coffee hour and were able to make use of the complimentary hot tub later that night at short notice. They also helped organise for someone to transport our heavy suitcases to our boat transfer the next morning to save us dragging them along the sand. Everything was perfect! Thank you.

Excellent pousada! Great breakfast and even had an afternoon tea. Attentive staff with good local recommendations. Set right on the beach and guests benefit from one hour use of the rooftop sauna and jacuzzi for free!

Awesome stay !

Perfect location, directly on the beach. A few minutes walk from the pier and Abraao center. Super friendly staff, probably the best we had during out trip ! Room is cleaned everyday. Really good breakfast with daily homemade cakes. Free tea time organized every day in the afternoon. The spa and jaccuzi on the roof is perfect to relax after a hike to Lopez Mendes. We definitely recommend and would come back !

For short stay (e.g. 3 days) the spa is accessible 1h per stay (and not per day), not a big deal but it wasn’t mentioned in the description on Booking.com.

overpriced and expect to pay for anything and everything additional

location, decor, good breakfast

we just felt like it was falsely advertised and the cost did not back up the value. we were so excited to use facilities like the sauna and jacuzzi but found out it was a completely separate cost. They wanted 110 R$. We then went to the beach and to get a beach towel they charged us $18 R$ each which just seemed silly. There are so many other comparable pousadas and we only selected this for the amenities but felt like they were trying to nickel and dime us for everything. There’s a sign in the room w guest information on it says you will be charged an additional night if you leave after 12 pm without asking for permission. At breakfast (8:30 am) we asked if we could stay until 12. The staff tried to tell us they would have to charge us an entire night. We argued and finally got confirmation for late check out but it was annoying having to ask especially since we were following the rules. It’s a cute spot but I don’t know if $175 a night is worth it.

I absolutely love it, it’s chic, clean and location is just perfect from island center. they swerve breakfast and afternoon tea with very exquisite dessert. I love the amenity of jacuzzi and sauna.

if there is anything that I would pick I’d the bathroom is too small. also, you can keep charging anything in the room unless you’re in the room.

Excellent pousada with the best staff and comfort

Ruby is such a lovely hotel with the best service and most welcoming staff! Ideal location on the beach, with a terrace for the breakfast The rooms are spacious and clean (+daily room cleaning). The breakfast buffet is amazing with many fruits, cakes, breads, cheese, eggs and tapioca sandwich. And in the afternoon they also organise a lovely afternoon tea. You have 1 access of 1h to the jacuzzi + sauna to book from 4 to 7. And most importantly the staff is so adorable, doing everything to be helpful and thoughtful : I had informed them I was about to do a night hike, and they prepared or me a little snack with my name on it when I woke up, and they accepted to have the kitchen open a little later in the morning so I could grab my breakfast after the hike. Really recommend this place!!! Especially fit for couples.

Fantastic Pousada in a fantastic island !

It was a fantastic experience within a great island! People are really nice and always ready for supporting, telling us the things to do, asking if we miss something... The Spa was the cherry on the cake. The bedroom was clean and the air conditionning was working perfectly. The bed was quite comfortable and we had no issue to get hot water. This wasn't noisy, they kept our luggages for free even after check-out... no to be honest I can't see any issues there :D
