Lovely stay in Bananal

Doesnt meet desriptions and reality is far away from the photos. Worst hotel we stayed in all trip.

Not a crowded beach. Breakfast was more or less okay.

Dirty beaches around (full of ocean thrown rubbish or black sand); Rooms were not cleaned (we stayed two nights); Three beds in the room instead of two or one (we requested a sea view standard, 2-person room). Mosquitoes beat us both nights a lot (there are measures for those, for example, window installations or internal mosquito repellents); Bed in the room is tough, if you're above 190 cm of height your legs will be get out from the bed a lot, which makes all sleep bad); Surrounding area requires decoration and more love/care (very much old fashioned). It was the most expensive place in our 2-week stay, the price is irrational (like in the best modern Western hotels, even if you don't calculate the arrival cost with a boat, which costs you 50 EUR plus one way; totally + 100 EUR); Nobody speaks EN; The restaurant (if you call it under this name) is extremely bad (there were no other places in the area so we tried); the food is tasteless, primitive, salty, etc. The hotel is not the first line of the beach; access is through other hotel areal; Not recommended while travelling with kids.

Beautiful location with exceptionally friendly staff.

The hotel is in a beautiful location where you can watch the sunset in the evening with the forest behind you. The food and drinks available are great and well priced in comparison to other places on the Island. The couple who run the hotel are lovely and make you feel very at home. The beach has a few little shops, bars and restaurants. It is perfect for a relaxing beach getaway.

A place to relax

The beach is amazing, and the pousada is just 50 meters from the beach. The breakfast was one of the more complete during my stay in Brazil, considering that this was on the island. The people working there are amazing, and when we arrived, they took our luggage to the place. That was an extra bonus we really appreciated since one piece of luggage was quite heavy. I will definitely come back.

The rooms are comfortable but simple. I think they should upgrade them, but not sure how easy that is on this island. All the rest is just more than fine to enjoy the stay and relax!

wonderful time!

The hotel is located in paradise. The window view is overwhelming. the beach is just few steps away. All attractions in Bananal ar in a short walking distance. The object is extremely clean and tidy. Not all the stuff speaks English but the communication is not a problem. All of them are very very helpful and open for the needs of their guests - they supported us in everything we needed far over the possible expectations (including help in opening the coco nuts we gathered in the jungle).

We have spent there a wonderful time, we would return there with no doubt and no extra expectations.

Exceptional

lovely structure located in the beautiful Bananal beach, with comfortable and clean rooms? nicely decorated, overlooking the bay. the pousada offers amazing breakfast and restaurant, do not miss to try out the fish…amazing! beach is one minute walking and other nice beaches closeby accessible. the price for such a paradise is of course the fact that is not that east to access, and you might need to adapt your schedule to the boat taxi leaving from angra or the quite pricey internal taxi, to visit the beautiful beaches around Bananal. but do not worry, the friendly and helpful staff from the pousada can help you organizing everything very efficiently and at the best possible deal. a true paradise and I would come back tomorrow if I can :)

The staff is definitely a highlight, everything is always clean they are very kind, helpful and accommodating. I told them once about my son gluten intolerance and from that moment they always adapted the menu to his need. Besides that the food is delicious, with fair prices and the sunsets are breathtaking!!!

The Pousada is amazing,right and side there is a beautiful little beach which most of the time is empty.The staff are absolutely brilliant and very welcome.You will feel at home.The food is yummy,fusion between Brazilian and Japanese.

Your place in Ilha grande!

Waking up with the view that this posada provides, guarantee you an amazing day. They offer a great and very complete breakfast, you can find fruits, loaves of bread, cereals, yogurt, milk, good coffee ALSO WITH A VIEW, guarantees you a nourishing day. And the way Novu, Kika and Xi (sorry if I don't spell it well) make you feel at home and give you the best advice of the place guarantees you a lovely day.

Praia do Bananal is quite an isolated place, if you are a party animal or want to go to every inch of the island in a few days, this is probably not the place to go. Here you will have an amazing silence to rest and long-distance walks or expensive taxi boats to go around. I loved this, but I know it isn't every cup of tea.

Excellent stay at Bananal, great food

The food was indeed excellent - everything was homemade, the staff was attentive and managed to please everyone (we travelled with kids and they could not have been happier, but the adults were eqally satisfied). Location is also great, Bananal is not far from Angra and close to some major attractions like Lagoa Azul.

Nothing, really. Kids suffered a little with mosquito bites, but that is totally beyond anyone's control, specially after a bit of rain.

Me encantó el lugar, la terraza, la vista, el servicio, todos muy amorosos, las comidas, el menú muy rico.

No me gustó que cuando uno se queria bañar mas tarde y ya estaba mas helado, no había agua caliente. El arroz no es su fuerte para almorzar o cenar.

La ubicación, con acceso a una playa muy tranquila, por la cantidad de gente, parecía playa privada. La atención, espectacular y súper personalizada. Y la comida muy rica y con precios accesibles para hacer todas las comidas en la pousada. El deck para almorzar, cenar, leer, descansar, elevado y con vista al mar.

El desayuno no tenía opciones sin harina pero me las rebusqué igual.

Vista deslumbrante, quarto espaçoso e funcionários atenciosos.

Apenas das portas tanto do banheiro quando da entrada do quarto que precisam de um alinhamento. A do banheiro nem fechava, ja da entrada fechava com dificuldade.

Dans l’esprit pension de famille, contact très sympa depuis le grand-père jusqu’aux enfants des deux familles d’origine japonaise qui tiennent la pousada.

Excelente calidad gastronómica en el restaurante y a buen precio, no hace falta buscar otros lugares para comer. Muy amable todo el personal, siempre a disposición. La ubicacación de la posada es ideal para descansar. Mucho silencio y tranquilidad.

Si el plan es conocer varias playas de la isla, quizá la bahía do Bananal (donde se encuentra la posada) no sea el lugar mas adecuado para hospedarse ya que los transportes en taxi-boat son muy caros y las caminatas desde esta bahía hacia otras son bastante intensas.

A pousada é belíssima e espaciosa, com quartas grandes assim como os espaços comuns - sala de restaurante e o deck - todos com vistas para o mar. Todo o pessoal foi muito atencioso e amável, permitindo que eu mesmo preparasse minhas refeições veganas com ingredientes que trouxe comigo e me dando outros que tinham acabado ao longo de minha viagem na ilha. Também preparam pratos veganos para o café da manhã.Senti uma paz enorme hospedado na pousada. As noites eram silenciosas, só ouvindo o bater suave das ondas. A praia principal de Bananal e linda e tem outras próximas extraordinárias, como Pequeno Bananal e Jaconema.

Un petit coin de paradis en pleine nature

L'endroit est magique, en pleine nature. On s'y sent très bien car il y règne une ambiance familiale. Rita et sa famille sont très gentils et ont à cœur que vous soyez au mieux. Le petit déjeuner est varié avec des fruits, des jus frais, des pâtisseries maison...on se régale. La cuisine sur place est vraiment délicieuse et avec du choix, à des prix très raisonnables. La pousada est le point de départ de nombreuses randonnées.

Nous y avons séjourné en août et à cette époque, c'est l'hiver. L'endroit est donc calme voire désertique...si vous voulez du calme total et de la sérénité, c'est parfait.
