Atmospheric but inconvenient.

Atmospheric location, remote, near a stream and surrounded by a small temperate rainforest.

For the prices charged, too much like camping and too much inconvenience. No staff at all, you check yourself in. Was fine for us but if someone needed help with bags or anything else, no one to help. You had to walk about 50 yards on a gravel road from the parking lot. No food on site, had to bring everything in for breakfast. But not like a full apartment either, not easy to use a small kitchen setup. A moth and a fly was buzzing around inside. No windows so eye covers are provided to sleep. When it got cold, I used their wood burning stove. It was nice, but then would get too hot in there. Extra charges to use the only amenity, a sauna, seemed petty. No fitness center, lounge, etc. For the right person, they could really enjoy this stay. For us, it was not worth the high cost. It did have positives, but not one that would describe as a luxury experience.

The location was beautiful and the house itself felt like a very luxurious and special getaway. The lighting is gorgeous. Very close to Clifden which was great for easy access to great food and groceries. They supplied oats and coffee at house, be sure to get some milk and any fruit or nuts to go with the dry oats and coffee and tea at the grocery.

I thought being charged to use the sauna was off putting but I can see why they do it to get people to respect their booking and be mindful of the energy it uses and to be serious if they are going to use it- but it being necessary to book and the limited hours would do the same thing. There was wood for a fire but no matches or lighter anywhere we could find to actually get it going.

Amazing property in beautiful surroundings - worth spending time in! Would visit again

Stunning property - ideal size and wonderful design. Bed, shower, kitchenette (helpfully equipped with tea/coffee/muesli) and seating area with fully equipped TV all perfect and we enjoyed the outdoor seating area too. Not to mention the rest of the grounds of the property - you really could spend a whole day without leaving the site, walking and swimming and exploring - and the free use of bicycles to explore the neighbourhood. Lovely quiet walk into the town centre. Staff helpful when we had queries. Would gladly visit again.

Didn't receive check-in instructions and the door code we did eventually find was incorrect - had to call owner. Instructions in property talked of a Bluetooth speaker that was nowhere to be found.

A hidden treasure!

What a lovely place, just outside Cliften, the studio was beautifully restored, practical, warm and extremely comfortable. We are looking forward to our next visit. The grounds have a lovely wild feeling with lovely rustic footpaths to the other accommodation and the sauna and plunge pool, the swimming area and to the various lookouts over the lake and surrounding countryside.

Unique accommodation in an idyllic setting

The owners Anne and Simon are perfect hosts. We were greeted by Anne on our arrival, who showed us to our accommodation. Anne & Simon run an eco farm, and we were treated on our arrival to some of their free range eggs. This is unique accommodation in an idyllic setting, yet quite near the amenities of Clifden. We would highly recommend.

Enjoyed the peaceful location near the greenway

Very compact and efficient use of space. Everything you could need for a stay cation including brown bread , free range eggs, milk muesli tea coffee . Liked the stove which was ready to light . This is a real cosy retreat eco friendly accommodation.

The cottage/studio is exceptionally well designed and the fit-out is beautiful, all the details have been carefully chosen. The bed was really comfortable and other items of furniture were tasteful and suited the size and shape of the studio.

It is difficult to identify anything that I didn't like.
