I didn't like the fact that we had 8 rooms booked and if you book over 3 rooms its 100€ deposit each room I had to put 800€ deposit on my card when we checked in which I was told it was a pre authorisation but it was taken from my account and it was only returned 5 hrs after I checked out. But apart from that it was great and would 100% recommend it

For the room price a parking voucher/token would really improve the overall experience as having to go back to the car each day and add parking is really inconvenient as it is not an on-site parking facility. This would be minimal cost to the hotel but would make a big difference to paying guests.

Disappointing

The reception staff was very friendly. The bed was comfortable, overall cleanliness excellent.

The disappointment started when I was told the restaurant was closed. Most restaurants in Westport were booked up, so had to go to the supermarket for some food. Breakfast was very regimented, no option for a full Irish and maybe some yoghurt after. The room was probably the worst room in the hotel. Noise from the pub next door as well as being located to where all the zircon units were. A lot of noise from upstairs as well. I have stayed here before and that experience was a lot better, so maybe standards slip in the after-season.

Warm, cozy and comfortable, wonderful stay at the Mariner, highly recommended.

It’s location was super however, it’s the staff that make the trip to the Mariner so worth while. From reception staff to the housekeeping staff, to the ladies in the dining room especially Carrie. They were all so welcoming and friendly.

Very clean hotel which was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the location was perfect - close to pubs, restaurants and shops. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great choice. I recommend this hotel!

Everything was perfect except for one tiny thing - the bar could have been a bit livelier and there was no residents bar for a late night nightcap! But truthfully this didn't impact on our stay.

This accommodation was provided over two nights for our three person family. The Mariner is ideally located in Westport. Breakfast provided plenty of choices and was very satisfying.

Nothing spectacular, but it wasn’t terrible.

The property was close to the shops and easy to walk and find things to eat and a Pharmacy if you needed one. Breakfast was good and the servers were lovely.

It wasn’t much I didn’t like about it. It was just a standard room to sleep in and had all the things we needed as we were on a tour.

Attractive, well-run hotel in an ideal location.

This is an extremely well-managed property that gets every detail right. The staff are exceptionally friendly, courteous, and accommodating, the place is in impeccable condition, and the breakfast was truly wonderful. Our room was quite large and bright. The location is unbeatable, and it wasn’t difficult to find street parking for our car.

It would be lovely if the hotel at its own parking lot, but really, everything else was so nice we didn’t care.

Ideal stay in Westport - 🅿️ 🍻 🍔 all close-by. A great base to explore the Wild Atlantic Way

Super central location in the middle of Westport - everything within 200m radius walking distance. Minimal noise at night as was off the main street. Well equipped with iron and lots of space for unpacking and arranging bits and bobs. Comfy bed. The filtered water station in the corridor was very useful for our activities and returning to our room at night. Parking for €2 right across the road for 24h was super handy.

Rooms were very warm but had a fan for air circulation. Quite stuffy, but we did have humid weather. Would have liked a small mini fridge in the room to store and cool food and water. We had to throw some things out as they spoiled, unfortunately.

The location was great, right next to everything. The staff extremely lovely and helpful. The room was comfortable enough and clean.

Parking but thats not the properties fault, parking is an issue everywhere. We did get some not too far away towards the afternoon and were able to park out front to drop off and pick up luggage.

Big shout to house keeping for their attention to detail. Fan in the bedroom was a greatly appreciated and much needed suprise . Would highly recommend a stay here and I definitely will be back. Quiet, spacious and perfect location.

A really quiet, clean, spacious and delightfully decorated hotel in a great location. The carpark across the street is super convenient. There is no dinner restaurant in the hotel but that is not a problem when the town has so many eating options just around the corner. We immersed ourselves in the night-life of the town and arrived back at the hotel after midnight each night. Michael the night porter gave us the best cheerful welcome home each evening, and really made our stay here so memorable. We enjoyed The Mariner so much we extended our stay another day, which was absolutely no problem for the staff and included a really scrumptious breakfast to send us off.
