La Maison Haute guesthouse

We loved the location and the fact that there was a fully equipped communal kitchen

All great!

We loved everything! We only stayed one night (would loved to stay more nights if we would have more time). But we definitely book this place again if we come back to Brussel! Easy contact with owner, fast answer. Near everything, like railwaystation and walkable many tourist attraction and old town area. Quiet, safe neighborhood, many restaurants and cafes near by. Also shops and supermarkets. Room was clean and big. Bed and pillows very comfy. We sleep so well! Also good tv with chromecast in it. Common areas have kitchen and every floor have also toilets outside of the rooms. We didint use any, but longer stay those would be useful.

We liked so far everything. Only if you have problems to climb stairs this place is not for you. Also we stayed at october, so we didint need A/C but that would be great add to rooms if outside temperatures rise high like in summertimes.

We had a lovely stay! The apartment was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The top-floor attic offers a charming view over the city. A special mention and huge thanks to the wonderful staff — as two female travelers with heavy luggage, navigating the narrow stairs to the 3rd floor would have been quite a challenge, but the host was amazingly helpful and carried our bags down for us. Communication was seamless from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Just a small thing to keep in mind: the building doesn't have an elevator, so climbing up to the 3rd floor every day was a bit of a workout. Also, I didn't pay enough attention when booking that it was a duplex, which meant quite a bit of extra stairs inside the apartment as well. While the staff was super helpful with our luggage, it’s worth noting for future guests who might have mobility issues or prefer easier access.

The decor was really nice and unique. The room was a good size.

Definitely not soundproof. You could hear people from outside the building, corridors and ceiling. It was advertised as soundproof but it was clearly not. Flat screen really small and not working.
