Room was decent and location is good for me being close to the ferry terminal

I had to move my booking and I wasn't aware that I had to pay again. I was shown by a member of staff how to make my booking with a small charge which would have allowed me to change my booking date with no extra cost. I thought that I as a regular user of this hotel would have been able to change the date of my booking.

Comfortable budget accomodation convenient to the ferry terminal and the hospital.

Breakfast was good. The room was clean and well heated. The hotel is within walking distance of the ferry terminal and is on the main bus routes. Easy access to the centre of town or the station.

Room was comfortable but a little small. The shower was difficult to get into because the sink blocked the shower door for myself, a man of a certain size :)

Good stopping off point if catching a ferry, quiet, clean and the staff were nice

Great place to stay near the Port for catching the ferry. Not much in the area and its opposite a large hospital. We were there just for the night and it suited us perfectly. Good value and the breakfast was well worth the money. Saved us an expensive meal on the ferry.

Lovely Staff

As an ibis it was modern with the facilities you'd expect - unsuitable and tv. The staff were so helpful and kind. The water fill station on ground floor.

The room was extremely small. The shower door was broken - part of the corner was missing so all the water sprayed out onto the floor - so we had to use the shower in the other room. The rooms could have been cleaner - the floor was a little grubby. The breakfast wasn't very inclusive for people with allergies. The ingredients were not on display. There was a place to buy tea and coffee, none in the bedrooms, but it relied on staff being available to assist and there wasn't much choice.

A typical budget hotel

Room was a typical budget room with everything in it very good be it small space. One cannot quibble as it was very competitively priced. Our bicycles were kept in a very secure garage across the road from the hotel using a combination key code. Staff all very friendly, helpful and efficient.

It was a very good overnight stay and within excellent proximity to the Ferry Port.

The lighting in the bedroom was ambient but not sufficient for putting make up on or doing hair in front of the mirror in the room, unless there was another light switch that I didn’t see.

Very ‘budget’ style hotel but ideal for an overnight stay before catching the ferry.

On arrival free parking was not available and was quoted £12 or £16.00 to Park overnight which I did not expect from the description or reviews I read. However as a blue badge holder was able to park in their one disabled place.

Tiny room

Simplicity, cleanliness, water fountain, parking, coffee machine, microwave, 24 hour reception.

The room was so small that the bed was against the wall on one side, about 30cm from the wall on the other side, there was no room to walk around it, no shelf for water, a book and phone. Phones stuck in a net thing at the wall. Couldn't walk straight between the foot of the bed and the TV. So small that the bed could not be made correctly by the staff and the sheet and under sheet came out as soon as we tried to get in, resulting in a wrinkly sheet, exposed mattress, and discomfort. This was not made clear when I booked, nor was there an obvious reduction in price due to the sheer small size of the room. We have stayed in a lot of Ibis Budget, Ibis Styles, Formula 1 rooms around the world, to our satisfaction, and this was by far our most uncomfortable stay.

Outrageous

I made a reservation for 1 room for 2 adults and 1 child. Somehow, there were 2 reservations under my name but I never made a reservation for a second room. I was confronted with this information abruptly at check in on my arrival, and quite frankly, it was extremely embarrassing as I was being blamed for what seems to be a technical or system error, publicly. I have confirmation of my reservation details on my booking.com app which the property manager wasn’t interested in looking and I have also been charged for a second room as the hotel marked me down as a no show for the second room even though I never made this. Basically I was told it was my fault and therefore I need to pay for the second room.

Great clean and comfy!

Super easy location from the ferry port. Fortunate enough to have found a parking spot right outside which is free. Room and hotel so clean and modernly furnished. Showers were brilliant. Beds really comfortable. Really pay attention to the seagull warning on the window - they aren’t afraid to stick their heads in!

It was perfectly fine for our overnight stop. The rooms are small so wouldn’t have had much room if we were staying longer. We had two interconnecting rooms and are a family of 5.

The receptionist was really helpful at arrival and also for giving advice about places to eat. The room was comfortable and the location was quiet for a good nights sleep. They also accommodated our bicycles in a secure garage.
