Great proximity to train station, ferry port and beach.

Very close to the train station and close proximity to the port (for ferry back to the UK) and also a short walk to the beach. Several nice restaurants close by as well.

The rooms have an individual ac unit but no means to control it. The ac is managed generally throughout the whole hotel by the hotel itself. In saying that, the temperature was fine for us.

Good location, easy to find and easy to get into the town and to the ferry. We were there one night as a stop over before the ferry’s departure.

The parking is on street. If you park in the car park behind the hotel don’t park under the trees as the sea gulls will leave you a deposit! Don’t be fooled by the machine, just have three euros ready and probably two will be enough.

There was a filthy towel hanging on the door of the bathroom. Also over 3 days we saw no one at all . No one in reception which was locked. No Wi-Fi.

Clean, comfortable bed, good shower pressure, quiet, right beside the train station

No tea or coffee in the room, room was a little dated but there was a note saying there was delayed refurbishment and we got a free drink. It was perfect for the price we paid

Disappointing for our first night in France.

It was convenient for the railway station.

1] Although it is a restaurant, we had to dine elsewhere as it was fully booked with no tables available for residents. 2] Breakfast was advertised as starting at 7am (I recall) on weekdays but when we came down for breakfast (on a Monday) prior to catching our train there was nobody at Reception, the dining room was not open. We did not have breakfast. 3] We could not formally check out and eventually had to post our electronic key through the only letterbox available (not labelled as being part of the hotel.restaurant), hoping that it would be found when the staff came on duty. 4) The hotel provided no toiletry items at all, not even a bar of soap.

Clean toilet and shower room as well as well bed linen. .

The carpet was disgusting, general conditions of the room were very bad. I left my laugage after checking out, and when I got back a few hours later, it was unattended. It could be stolen, and no one couldn't have noticed.

Good location and easy walk to the old walled town.

The location was good with a restaurant beneath the hotel. We had a warm welcome from the staff and all the information we needed to make our stay comfortable. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep , it was good value for money.

The hotel is undergoing restoration and we could have been put in a room that had already been updated as the hotel was not busy. The shower head holder that clips to the upright rail was broken so you could only shower by holding the shower head.

next time better

The hosting as from moment of arrival has been rather abrupt and rude (concerning the young lady at the desk...) Having paid my stay online when completing the reservation I found it absolutely unsavoury to be promptly told "ça ne vous dérangerait pas de payer tout de suite!!"... without any prior proper checking on the account client register ... Hence not a warm welcome to put it mildly.Next time better perhaps after attending "école de l'hôtellerie" a breech of manners and as one says : manners maketh it man young lady at the reception ;some homework before performing front desk activity.For the best part of the stay the room was up to good standards and the hotel well situated since one can gain the inner city boundaries along the seafront or following the quay enjoying the quaint ships moored alongside .

Very poor

The room was extremely unclean and the bathrooms didn't have any shampoo or other toiletries. I asked to get room service and get my room cleaned but they only removed used towels! They didn't change the sheets or clean the room etc. There's no regular room service and there were renovations happening that weren't mentioned!! It got noisy during the day due to renovations. This was not explained by the hotel beforehand which was extremely bad. The entire experience was very disappointing and it was too expensive for such a hotel.
