Very enjoyable overnight stay 😊

Friendly welcome, nice breakfast - There is a great Italian restaurant a short walk away, which is useful as the Hotel is out of the main city

Short stay in St. Malo

Extremely welcoming owners. Really lovely, stylish and charming hotel. Great location for ferry terminal and not too far to walk into the walled town. Excellent breakfast.

Tried calling the 'telephone bar' during the afternoon, but there was no answer. There was no milk in the room to add to tea or coffee.

Journey to Cherbourg

The location was ideal. A lovely elegant hotel with a very helpful and friendly owner (Emmanuel).

Getting in and out through the gates was almost impossible. Unfortunately I scraped my car leaving at night so I would advise guests to leave their car on the road in front which has plenty of space. The rooms are small.

Charming Chambre d’hôtes with wonderful staff

Staff were exceptionally kind as we needed to stay an extra 2 nights. Breakfast was wonderful and our pooch was made to feel very welcome

Charming and comfortable

An experience in old-world charm and grace. China cups and plates and homemade breads and marmalades at breakfast. Fruit from their own trees. I felt like an honored guest.

I did not feel that I had many options for exploring the area. Maybe, upon arrival, more questions of the guests as to what they would like to do/experience.

Exemplary service and a beautiful venue.

A beautifully appointed hotel with modern facilities. It was an excellent location for a recharge during our long journey home. Beds were comfortable and the room was immaculate. There is space to park a car, although the narrow gates are a little tricky. For those less confident, there is plenty of on street parking within a stones’ throw of the hotel. Our host was exceptional, creating a seamless experience for us (and our dog) from the moment we checked in. She was kind enough to source and reserve a table at an excellent seafood restaurant for dinner and provided us with a wonderful continental breakfast in the morning. I wish we would have stayed longer and will booking another stay for our future journeys through France.

A charming hotel in an old manor, with a kind and lovely host. Good breakfast and a pretty room with a bath and balcony. Quiet neighbourhood.

Very welcoming with wonderful breakfast and comfortable bed.

We had a wonderful welcome, our room was ready early so we could check in earlier. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable and a lovely French window. Breakfast was provided by the owner who took great pride in the preparation with homebaked treats and jams and freshly squeezed orange juice. There is good parking available and very secure.

Whilst it is a 2km walk to the old town, there is still plenty of shopping in the local area. It would have been lovely to have had a small bar area to enjoy a nightcap at the end of the day but that is not a big issue just an observation.

Very Special next time we will stay longer

Owner was absolutely wonderful, Breakfast was lovely home cooked pastries and conserves. We had an issue with our car ( classic 70s Jaguar) and Emmanuel managed to find the perfect Garage/ mechanic that was able to spot the issue and sort out for a very reasonable cost.

We arrived for a one night stay, after a long drive from the south of France, to get our boat back to Jersey the following morning. We were immediately made to feel welcome and after depositing our bags in our room were offered a lovely cold glass of wine in the garden. What could be better?

Wonderful short stay in a most charming setting

The hotel is an old mansion particularly well kept and equipped with modern comfort. Our room was charming and functional. Our king-size bed was a very comfortable. The localisation requires a bit of walking or taxi to the main sites but it's due to the fact that it sits in a superb and very quiet residential area. Breakfast was excellent with home made items. Last but not least the owners are often around and more than willing to help you.

Bathrooms are on the small side but nonetheless sufficient.

Great location to visit St Malo or for a ferry crossing stay over

Very good and on last day we were in a rush for the ferry so they made up a take away breakfast with coffee to have on the quayside whist we waited for boarding. Staff were so welcoming, very friendly and helpful. Location is great with good restaurants 5 min drive away.
