Great quiet option thats still pretty close to most important things

Very good breakfast by Italian standard (good artisan bread, croassant, bakery goods, yoghurt, eggs, bacon - but no beans nor non-dairy yoghurt). Barrista made Coffe included: excellent capuccino. Calm quiet area close to the canal. Less than 10 min to the main beach promenade with great restaurants. Also close to the lovely forest for a nice walk though it to the free beach. Less than 5 min to local grocery store. 25 min walk to train station. Nearby towns of Pisa and Lucca are well worth visiting, with frequent train schedule and good price. The staff was all very friendly and helpful and most spoke good english (reception & breakfast). Cleaning every day. Oh, and the bed and pillows was super comfortable, pretty firm but comfortable at the same time (perhaps a bit short if you are tall). They have a nice little outdoor area in a small yard/garden, that somewhat makes up for lack of balcony.

Would have liked beans and non-dairy yoghurt with breakfast. And as expected no particular view from the rooms and no balcony. Slightly short bed if you are a tall person. Sure I fit in it, but it was shorter than my bed at home.

Cozy hotel

Nice hotel. A bit of walk to the beach but doable. The breakfast is quite good with fresh pastries, eggs, yogurts, pancakes and fruits. Very good coffee by breakfast. Nice bar that is open during the whole day. We liked that they offered us sand toys for our kid and umbrellas in the rainy day- just to take it for free form the hotel to use. Very thoughtful. The room was cleaned every day and clean towels were offered every other day.

Very tiny and very very very slow elevator. Very tiny shower and no shelve to put your shower gel and shampoo (in our room it was broken). Hotel told us that they have discounts with some beaches, so we were going to those beaches few days until we tried just random beach, and it turned out that the price there was even cheaper then from the hotel with discount.

A hidden gem

The staff were brilliant. Always ready to help and always had a smile on their face. The hotel was small, which made it feel personal. At night the hotel was quiet and there was plenty of choice at breakfast.

If I had to pick one thing, it was the fact the hotel didn't have a pool. But I knew this before I booked.

really lovely cool garden and seated lounges at front entrance. Staff were very helpful and gave good local knows. Loved the bikes for hire so a ideal way to get the parks, beaches and Piazza. The buffet breakfast was really great, lots of fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries and cooked eggs, bacon, sausages, ham cheese etc also. Good size and refurbished rooms. Reasonably close walk to good eateries and canals and super yacht marinas I would definitely recommend Hotel Spinelli.

This time, I clearly made the wrong choice.

Very clean. Bed linen and towels are perfectly clean. The location is twofold: on the one hand, it is very secluded and quiet. On the other hand: not close to the beach, not close to the promenade. But, there are excellent restaurants nearby.

The hotel staff thought that I was not a very important person and first put me in a room that did not look like the one presented on booking.com. All the windows had solid and thick bars. View of the ruberoid roof. Surprisingly ascetic inside. Plumbing is very old, moldy. The air conditioner didn't work. It looks like a cell in a good Norwegian prison. After my requests, they gave me a similar room, but with one window without bars and overlooking the garden.Only the next day, after my requests, they gave me a normal number: the way it looks on booking.com. Well, the next day the air conditioner was fixed. The pillows were like a stone, a blanket, made of non-woven fabric.Breakfast is normal, simple, but some products (dates) were spoiled. The staff is friendly and tried hard. But apparently they just don't know how it is in other hotels.

nice staff and breakfast, adequate room

The staff were very nice and the breakfast was good. You have the option to take a coach directly to some sunbeds you can rent for the day, and those were good too!

The room we got smelled like cigarette smoke, and the airconditioning did just enough (could have been stronger). But to be fair, we were there during the heatwave this summer, so very often you'll probably not need a stronger airconditioning. The view from the room was also nothing to speak of (roof and backyards of other people).

The hotel was nice and clean, nicely equipped and cozy rooms. Free parking close to hotel is also nice. Breakfast were great, awesome variety of fresh food, great coffee. What gives it the 10/10 is the personnel. Everyone of them were really nice and great, helpful in all possible ways. And room service left the room nicely cleaned every day.

Can't really think of anything. Maybe the missing kids playground, that is written in hotel description...

Decent place, worth the stay

Good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Most of the guests are regulars and working in shipping industry. Only on weekends we saw families. Our kid enjoyed the attention
