The Byre

I loved meeting the owners who I thoroughly enjoyed conversations with whilst they gave us our privacy. The property is very light and sitting in the front room or front bedrooms you have light streaming in from the floor to ceiling windows. It also meant the children could play outside whilst adults were indoors but can see them. The children loved it! The kitchen was so well stocked there were many items we didn’t use or know of. Massive massive kitchen with an Aga - I am now an Aga convert as it ended up being easy to use. Lots of parking space, electric charging only approx. 15minutes away and G Bolam butchers not far away either. Fantastic home and we will try and return again. Thank you for being great hosts.

The Byre is gorgeous. Well laid out, quiet, clean and spacious. The kitchen is huge and houses an Aga which comes with a really detailed cook book which makes using it a doddle. There are plenty of pots and pans, and there’s coffee and tea as well. The beds are really comfortable and the showers are nice and hot. It is situated in the middle of nowhere but within easy reach of civilisation if you want the shops or a pub. The hosts are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Met by the owner who lives in the adjacent property. An exceptional conversion of byres and barns . Very nice that the 3 bedrooms are in separate parts of the property offering their own space to occupants. The kitchen/dining room has a high ceiling and is remarkably spacious but very warm due to the AGA cooker.
