All in all I enjoyed my stay at Sana Spa though I was underwhelmed by the "Hot Springs" experience

Liked the location of the hotel. Was idea as I love to walk everywhere to explore. The town of Hisarya is not that big and it was great to be able to see the Roman ruins. Also liked the room size and the balcony. The bed was comfy but the pillows were very hard, making it challenging to sleep as I normally would. I am usually a good sleeper. Sana Spa is also in a very quiet environment near a lovely park. There is a small hot natural pool that is in the gardens. I love immersing in hot Thermal Waters and I think this was a bit of a let down. I still went into the pool even though it was raining as there is not shelter! The hotel has two big pools, one outside which was covered up maybe due to end of season and one indoors. The indoor pool was cool. I must say the Spa Centre was absolutely amazing! For breakfast, I loved the coffee and the Bulgarian yoghurt.

The hotel deco is dated. The lighting in the room and bathroom is dim. The carpets are so old that they look dirty. The room was not vacuumed for the whole time I was there. One has to take a shower standing in the bathtub. Though I must say the bathroom was very nice with a concrete flooring. There were no musky or damp odours. I was not impressed with the breakfast. Looked scanty, scrambled eggs were clumpy and very dry - cold. I could have sworn the big olives had gone off! They tasted stale. Even the salads looked 'tired'! They do not offer refreshments in the rooms - no tea, coffee or water! Hisarya is doted with water fountains so I just drunk that!

A bit high price, when spa is in that condition, specifically pool. Outdoor pool is closed, as we were warned fairly before the reservation, but also the inside pool needs a bit maintanence..and a bit warmer water would nice. All other spa facilities except pools are good.

We had a very pleasant stay, the room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was really nice as well with great service.

The resort is not well planned and situated. The centre of the town is not close to the hotel. One should go there by car only, especially when the weather is so hot.

It's always a pleasure to stay at Sana Spa, the staff are helpful and facilities excellent.

We have stayed at Sana Spa hotel a few times now and it doesn't disappoint. The Spa facilities have been upgraded and are now excellent, the sauna and FIR sauna and brand new and of a very high quality. The pool is clean and the whole area is clean and hygienic. Staff at reception and in the spa area are helpful and competent. The rooms are spacious, have nice balconies and are clean and well appointed.

One of the bedside lamps didn't work and there was no bath mat in the bathroom. The floor can be slippery when you have showered and this hazard needs to be addressed as a matter of priority. The steam room wasn't working when we stayed. The breakfast is passable, but for a vegetarian the options are limited.

The water in the pool was cold. We visited with a child under two, he could not get in the pool. Very disappointing considering the rating of the hotel. I would not recommend going to that hotel in the winter.

An excellent value for money spa hotel with friendly staff and well maintained facilities.

The room was clean and spacious and the balcony had a view over a nearby wooded area. The bathroom was well equiped and here were plenty of clean towels. The spa area has a large Finnish sauna, and infra-red sauna, a steam room, salt room as well as showers. There was a water dispenser, which is not always the case in Bulgarian spas. All in all, a very pleasant stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a spa break on a tight budget.

There was no bath mat and the rooms could do with having a kettle with tea and coffee on hand. There was only one easy chair in the room which was surprising in a double. Many clients didn't use towels in either of the saunas, which isn't really the fault of the hotel as this was explained in a notice at reception.
