I wish I could have spent more time here

No negative aspects, maybe my room was in front of the garden and the street, but a good pair of earplugs + white noise did the trick and I slept perfectly

Best hostel in CT

The whole vibe of the hostel and staff was the best experience, I felt like home and decided to extend and stayed there my whole time in CT. The bar has good prices and is the best spot to socialize, the pool a perfect spot to chill on a hot day, the kitchen is big and well equipped and in generell the hostel was super clean and the bathrooms always available. Will miss it 🫶🏼

Great place for socializing vacation

Great located in the middle if everything. VERY helpful and friendly staff. Clean room & bathroom, big kitchen with everything you need. Fresh coffee in the morning and cool drinks at the bar all day/evening long. Perfect for socializing. Hostel on Main Street= traffic. If you have a light skeep bring your earplugs. Short walk to beach, V&A waterfront or Sea Point. I loved my stay a lot 🫠

Very nice atmosphere

I stayed for the last 4 days of my two-week trip, and my only regret is not booking it for longer. The garden is the highlight - nice clean pool, and there are plenty of cozy places around the property to relax and hang out. Has a "home away from home" feel. The staff were incredibly helpful. It’s not a party hostel - the small pool bar has a nice relaxed, social vibe and mixed crowd. Overall, a warm and welcoming place I would happily return to.

No soap in the bathrooms. The air quality in the 6-bed mixed dorm was quite bad, as the window opens into a hallway. However, the bunk bed was very comfortable.

Great Amenities and Location, but Atmosphere Could Be Improved

The property is in a secure, convenient location with a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The facilities are well maintained, and they also offer a done-for-you laundry service onsite. I also appreciated the free coffee available until 10am — a great way to start the day.

A few guests made the environment feel less comfortable at times. While it’s understandable that you can’t control everyone, a bit more attention to maintaining a consistent, pleasant atmosphere would really improve the overall experience.

Decent value in Green Point area

Friendly little spot that is very close to good spots in the Green Point neighborhood The bathrooms were kept very clean The bar was a good spot to hang out

The location is in right place because is located in the main road, The water was hot which was good, there was no breakfast option, the kitchen was very clean and open, the wifi is very fast

A perfect, relaxing stay with friendly staff, great amenities, and a safe, welcoming atmosphere.

What a wonderful stay! A perfect, no-fuss location to rest and relax. It’s close to the promenade for long, intentional walks and easy downtime at the beach. The establishment is clean, spacious, and most importantly, safe. The staff are incredible, friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The large, well-equipped kitchen with ample seating created a welcoming space for meaningful conversations with staff and other guests. As my stay was short, the staff generously shared groceries, which made short-term meal preparation easy. There’s plenty of cupboard and fridge space, so I know that on my next visit, I’ll be able to do a full grocery shop and store everything comfortably. The lounge area is perfect for reading or watching TV, and the pool is a true delight, especially compared to the small plunge pools at other establishments. The funny and fruitful conversations with staff and guests around the braai and bar area made my stay even more memorable. I’ll definitely be back!

To share a room with women, one of the women was not very clean, so the room did had a little smell... I know is backpackers and you are sharing things... but I just respect women's privacy, and I expect women to respect my pricacy. But nonetheless I had a great time.

The best hostel! Location, staff, cleanliness

It was incredible! It wasn't just a hostel, I felt at home there. We spent every evening at the bar, chatting, playing games, and I knew everything would be safe.

Everything was great, especially the location, which was within walking distance of the stadium since we were there for the game. The facilities were clean. The staff is absolutely amazing; they immediately made us feel at home. So hospitable!

The only concern we had was the parking, as it was full by the time we got there due to the game taking place at the stadium. However, one of the staff members went as far as coming out to help us find secure parking (shout out to Simz!). Additionally, there was no air conditioning in our rooms, which made it chilly later on in the night. Otherwise, there’s nothing not to like about the premises itself. It was absolutely great value for money. We’re definitely coming back!

We stayed at the hostel with our family of 5. Very nice welcome by the staff. Could park the car safely and easy and free in front of the hostel. Stayed for 3 nights to see Cape Town but would have loved to stay longer. The outside bar was a great place in the evening to relax. Great coffee in the morning! Very nice and helpful staff!

Staff was really friendly and helpful. Meet many great travelers here. The 'Bring you Meat'for Braai on Saturdays are a nice way to experience Braai and meet people at the hostel. The location is prime for walking to a grocery store, going for a run, and walking to the mall area. The beds were descent and the bar was nice.

Friendly staff combined with a welcoming atmosphere made for a good holiday stay. Thank you Sunflower stop team! I enjoy the Saturday social braai night idea and the layout of the hostel. I stayed with a family member in a private room , it was clean, comfortable and the basics of a fan and some hanging spaces made it comfortable.
