    Was attending a congress ai CTICC and this place is a walking distance. Latest biometrics to help with easy access and tight security. Will recommend to friends and family.

    Check in process was awful. Staff wasn’t welcoming. No smile. “ hi, booking reference”. I tried to read it out to her and just as I started , She said “show me”. What happened to “ hi maam, welcome. May you kindly show me your booking reference so I can help you check in.” Instant regret!! I could barely communicate or understand any instructions because they were speaking under their breath. Front desk staff should be welcoming and friendly. Pity I couldn’t ask for a refund. Security personnel were so rude!! After checking in- I kept tapping my access card a few times and they just gave me death stares because I didn’t know why the door wasn’t opening. Instead of being told politely to only tap once and then they will open for me- which I would’ve appreciated. Not sure if it’s some sort of an intimidation tactic or they just hate their job. Oh! The person who picks up the line- sooooooo cheeky. Why would a guest be told to press a button if they need help, then turn around and not help them!!! Should’ve just booked a self-check in Airbnb where I know that the host is just a text away. Imagine having to constantly go downstairs at every inconvenience because the person on the line refuses to help you. Passing through security with this whole double tap thing that doesn’t make sense. The person on the phone Refuses to clean listen to the problem, then going downstairs to find someone who just bored to see you! Mind you, I was trying to sort out a simple thing as WiFi. I understand that housekeeping doesn’t come everyday. So guess, you are playing the waiting game wondering on which day they will turn up. Could’ve just been told on which day to expect them. So here is what the lady does. Knocks on the door, shouts “housekeeping “ then immediately they try to push open the door. What if the door wasn’t locked and I was naked. THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THAT. Why try to forcefully open the door. I was holding my breath . Thinking she will tap her card- swing open the door and find me exposed. Wait for a response to see if the guest is in or not!!! Never ever booking again

    Overall, the hotel might be a good option for someone traveling for work and who has office in CBD. The rooms are clean, the view from the window is nice, the breakfast options are good (except these at a self catering table). I didn’t understand why almost none of the entrance cards work at the elevator. So there is a need to constantly have someone present to open it for you. I believe staff might require some extra training or alignment as couple of times the information was a bit contradictory. One of the security guards was asking some guests for money, claiming he is in need. If you arrive earlier than 14:30, most probably, you would need to wait for the official time of the check in. But what is good, they take your baggage and it is already in the room, when you receive a key. No separate smoking place. Maybe something could have been arranged by the pool place. But overall, I can imagine staying there again, even considering already known gaps.
