Repeat visit

Always friendly staff here and a great location. The beds were very comfortable.

Our room was very hot. There was a little fan but unless we had the door open it did little to cool the room.

Great stay!

Amazing vibe and people in this hostel! The wifi is ok and there is drinkable water, which is a great plus. Dorms are spacious and the beds are comfortable.

I wish there was more events but it's still very easy to meet people there.

Highly recommend

I loved the Table Mountain view while having the delicious breakfast served at the Villa. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped me with tours and any other queries I had. They organised a barbecue (braai) on Fridays (BYO), so it's a great opportunity to meet other guests a bit more of the staff. Would certainly stay there again.

The air on in the room not working. To plug the fan in was almost impossible as the only plugs are at the top end of the bed and the legs of the fan prevents it from going in that space. The thing you supposed to hang your close on is flimsy and keeps falling over

The bathrooms could be cleaned more often. The location is central, but quite far from the beaches. If you’d like to be close to beach, consider other options.

Give That Place a Bell's

We had a wonderful time with my son, 11 years old. I wanted my son to experience staying in a hostel/backpackers when traveling ... I was also worried it might be too much for him since he is used to traditional accommodation of hotels and guesthouses.... HE LOVED IT ... the other guests were so wonderful with him .... the staff were so understanding and made him feel valued as a guest. He also loved the sleeping arrangements and how safe it feels even when we left our things around. The place exceeded my expectations

A hostel with luxury-level service

The staff were the highlight - warm, attentive, and they even remembered my name. The place itself has a great vibe, and the breakfast is super good for a hostel. Comfortable clean dorms. Totally worth the money.

As others have mentioned, a free coffee option at breakfast would be nice, but it’s a minor point since it’s already cheap and good value for the money. The pool wasn’t the cleanest, but with the Cape Town wind, I imagine it’s tough to keep any pool spotless.

Locaion is a walking distance to town ,a lot of places of interest.The wifi is srong, good breakfast and a kitchen if one wanted to make their own food.I also liked the table mountain view from the facility.The neighbourhood was safe.

Had it not been for the bedbugs, it would’ve been okay.

I’ve never experienced bedbugs until after sleeping there. As well as one night when I got back to the villa, some cat was laying on bed. It had fur all over.

Great place to stay in Cape Town!

Wonderful location with amazing views of Table Mountain and convenient access to amenities. The breakfast was spectacular - very generous offering of fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, cereals, eggs and more! Great common spaces to meet other travelers or simply relax with a good book. Also love that its profits support local clean drinking water projects!

Horrible, we made sure that we have to be out most of the time because we couldn’t stay in a dirty

Hot water, WIFI

No TV, No entertainment for kids except swimming pool, the ladies at reception are rude. The house keeping is not done. We spent 5 nights but they didn’t change our linen even once, no cleaning done and they know that the place is full of Ants and it’s stuffy, with old wardrobes that are stuffy when you take out the clothes they are smelling. They have dirty community kitchen which is messy, they make boiled eggs every day for breakfast only not hot selections. They have cats and dogs on the property. They didn’t even want to refund, horrible stay

Check in process could be better and some dry vomit in the hand basin after the friends visited the Braai party but I’m sure it’s a one off.

One of the best places to stay... definetely

The good vibes at the villa, the location... I am quite a frequent user of that place now and each time i came was amazing.

Well i just wish the shower doesn't take that long to warm... I believe this does not serve the "save water" goal, because you have to let it run in a relatively long period. Also please make it warmer... Probably a problem specific to the room i took during my last stay. I did not enjoy the water temperature. Other than that, it remains my Go to Place! i love Viva villa.

Poor customer service and disrespectful staff

I liked the location It was very cool at night and the breakfast was good for the price I paid. The place is close to lots of entertainment areas.

The staff members were very rude, two African ladies and white lady were very rude and their customer service was very poor. Their names are Samantha, Sesethu and Matilda.After breakfast they chase you out of the dining area by playing very loud music even when they see that you are busy on the laptop trying to concentrate. Their actions were very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional for that kind of a business.The only person I found to be welcoming and friendly was the reception lady. I cannot recommend anyone to go to a place like that where clients are not respected. I was very disappointed.

It was warm and welcoming

It is peaceful no noise they do have a dog and cat though. Very friendly stuff the Wi-Fi is good. The water is not really hot hot though but warm so it’s okay.
