I liked the activities schedule and the drive of the team to put people together. I also liked the voice of the yoga instructor delivering the sessions in front of the window of my room. :P . I was drinking wine from the bottle, he was stretching everybody's limbs. Ha ha!

The location is excellent for the city and its surprising quiet considering its near a good bar. The views of Table Mountain are great. The breakfast I’d paid for (which is just a short walk up and across the road) at Arnold’s Cafe is excellent.p
The hostel and especially the dorm wasn’t to my liking, I’m used to Portugese hostel that are bright White, ultra modern, pristinely clean and excellent amazing facilities.
The 4-bed female dorm was very small, dark, old metal bunk beds and felt a bit cell-like, very hot and stuffy even with the ceiling fan on full, night and day and the windows open.
So I had no choice but to upgrade to a private room, which was far better, has a safe, decent size bathroom, amazingly comfy large bed however still hot and stuffy.
They are in the process of doing upgrades and I believe this is well-needed as it’s very dark, dismal and tired looking. It’s more industrial warehouse decor.
Having said that the staff were kind and friendly and especially Niqe she was extremely helpful. Great place for younger solo travellers to socialise.
I carried on to ‘The Big’ at Greenpoint which in my opinion is more open, airy, clean looking, homely, which nice communal areas. And better value for money. It attracts a wider age range from young, old, families, groups and solos.
The Big - Lovely hostel, lots of nice communal areas and relaxing areas. The 3 female dorm (more like a girls sleepover (no bunks), It was lovely, light, airy, lots of airflow, large lockers, clean and didn’t feel like a hostel - very homely with nice little decor.
