The Cottage is so pretty and the owner was so lovely. Bed was really comfortable tea and coffee was in room and milk brought in when needed

Location and tranquility. Very comfortable and clean. Warm, friendly and helpful welcome. It’s a lovely village with a short nature walk to the birthplace of Thomas Hardy

Ariane and Jamie were the perfect hosts. Ariane was very welcoming and so kind, she couldn't have done more to make our stay any better than it was. Jamie worked hard into the evenings prepping the exquisite breakfast specials.
The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding and the area around was beautiful (to walk off the breakfast!!).
Lots of lovely countryside pubs around the area, to enjoy dinner.

The gardens were nice
The female owner was quite rude. Hurrying us through a very expensive breakfast because she ‘had other guests’ as well.
The room wasn’t ready despite having asked and paid for early check in, to be told that I hadn’t informed them and having to dig out the email chain to prove it
The room had dead flies in it
