Nice stopover close to Poitiers

Nice property overlooking a golf course in the middle of nature. The room’s atmosphere was very nice.

The room was not soundproof and we could hear other guests coming and going during the night. The bathroom was very tired with broken accessories and not clean.

Welcomed as friends, treated like family.

The staff were very attentive, nothing is to much trouble if we asked for anything. The spa facilities are very good and the golf course (bookable) next door, 100yds is a really nice bonus for golfers. We always look forward to breakfast, it's a good combination of hot, cold, cereal's, various breads and preserves as well as a selection of fresh fruit. The restaurant serves very good food, although the portions are on the small side, we don't leave hungry. Sebastian looked after us well in the restaurant and we had some humorous conversations circumnavigating the language barrier. Mr Martin, the new director, welcomed us in the restaurant and made a point of coming out to wish us a safe journey as we checked out.

Disappointing stay and not good value

Fantastic location, very helpful and friendly staff , great breakfast , fancy water machine.

The whole place is a little tired and is in need of a bit of care, with not much effort this place could be superb, weeds on the balcony tired paint on the walls broken curtain rails etc nothing that really affected our stay but for the price I expected better. We knew that as we were staying on a Sunday the restaurant wasn’t open, but neither was the bar and in the sweltering summer heat we couldn’t even get any drinks or ice. I certainly would not stay here again

Good breakfast, good food at the restaurant and friendly employees.

There was no air condition at the hotel during the extreme heat but the hotel made no effort to inform me before my arrival at the hotel. Service at the restaurant was far too slow. No efficiency from the front office when I arrived. There were too many cleanliness issues.

The swimming pool was really nice.

Stains on carpet in bedroom. Restaurant and bar closed on Saturday night and all day Sunday during school term time. Really detracted from our stay. Wouldn't return.

A beautifully located that falls very short on service, unfortunately!

Beautiful location, lovely restaurant, great evening meal.

The rooms are very ‘corporate’ and in need of refurbishing. Our carpet was very stained, the drawer front fell off, the room faced the sun and was very hot and we were only provided with a winter duvet. There was a kettle but no mugs in the room - we were told by the staff to get some paper cups from the water dispenser in the lobby. The breakfast was a self service buffet and although perfectly adequate, we didn’t see a single member of staff and we had to clear away dirty plates etc to find a place to sit. Not impressed!

It looks nice on the pictures

We had a bed bug. The sheets on the bef where not clean. There was a blood strain. The rest of the room was not very clean neither. It also needs a good renovation. The pool was cold. It’s a shame. We left before to go ti bed and received only a refund for the breakfast. Not a good service.

A lovely hotel in a beautiful setting.

It is a beautiful building surrounded by a golf course. The restaurant is very nice and the bar area. You can take your dog in the bar but not the restaurant. We’ve stayed several times on our way south to Spain and love the outside space.

There was no wardrobe in our room or any hooks, there was coffee but no milk in the room and the lock on the door was faulty. Room 108.

The location is good especially if you fancy a game of golf on your trip

1. The wash basin in the toilet was badly cracked and could have caused an injury. 2. The carpet was threadbare in places 3. The breakfast was quoted as 11 euro and we were charged 15 each 4. When we received our bill we were charged for a full bottle of wine but had only a glass 5. Our room had a french window onto a balcony. The balcony was filthy and not in good repair 6. The toilet bowl was loose and moved 7. The hotel has a restaurant but we couldn't have dinner and were given options of local restaurants. In fairness the one we chose was not far and was very good but after a long drive we would have preferred to eat at the hotel

Stunning Château in a stunning setting right next to a golf course, good size room, fabulous breakfast. Travelling with our dog who was made very welcome.

As is so often, too many bed cloths which makes sleeping difficult as I get far too hot. Difficult to satisfy everyone I know.

lovely looking main building overlooking golf course. nicely styled communal indoor areas, such as the lounge. had a fabulous dinner in the restaurant and breakfast was good.

the communal areas in the main building are much smaller than the photos so not a lot of room to sit in the bar/lounge. fire not lit. swimming pool closed. some staff more friendly than others. our room was spacious but needed a bit of an upgrade. a bit tired …
