Very clean Spacious apartment in great location.

The location is fantastic. We were located in a sister hotel a few door up as they had over booked - Window to the Tower. The building is so characterful. The apartment was spacious and bright and clean. We still had our breakfast at Hotel Francesa.

With an old building comes old plumbing as often happens in Italy. There was no view of the Tower.

Literaly stone throw away from tower

Very near the tower , it’s good if you wanna make it as a base to explore neighboring towns. You can have a feel and see the tower in the morning and night. We were also given a triple room, double bed and bunk bed but we were supposed to have a double room with a terrace/view. This was fine cause the room has a big window overlooking the streets, you could see the rush of people (locals, students and tourists). Damian (reception) was welcoming and happy to entertain guests.

No coffee and tea facilities in our room, we requested one but apparently it’s not working or whatnot. They gave us an option to request for coffee or tea instead through reception which is quite a bit of a hassle. Cleanliness can be improved.

Pisa Hotel Francesco

The location! Just a short walk 200m from the Pisa tower plaza. On the pedestrian street lined with outdoor cafés and shops. A mini market (convince store) next door. A 5 minute taxi ride (15€) across the river from the train station. The room was on the 2nd floor over the pedestrian sleep. Even with all the people and activities going on during the evening, room was pretty quiet. The room had a small refrigerator, and the air conditioning worked. They offered a small breakfast for 5€ per person. Very basic, croissants, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt cups, some fruit, coffee and juice.

Not really a dislike, just be aware rooms are very small. But, we did not book this with the intent of spending a lot of time in the room. A simple, clean, efficient place to wash up, change, and sleep.

Fantastic location - really good value. Very nice helpful staff.

The staff were so helpful and friendly. We had a family room and it was perfect for us. The hotel is a matter of minutes from the Piazza del Duomo. Some really nice restaurants nearby. I honestly don't think you could get much closer at such a reasonable rate.

The bathroom could have been bigger maybe.

Great location

Staff very friendly, we arrived early, and they got our room ready for us, which was great. The room had comfy beds and the aircon was brilliant. The location is excellent. A minutes walk to restaurants and the tower and other sites. We did not sample the breakfast, due to an early flight.

Tv in the room had no remote, it was reported to reception, he came to the room after the remote he had given me didn't work,, he went off to get batteries for the remote, but he never returned.

A quiet room in the perfect location

The location could not have been better. The concierge was extremely helpful and caring. Bravo to him!

The room was just outdated,needed a little TLC but apart from that, as I shared, the location made up for any short comings of the room itself. Navigating TO the hotel, via automobile, was challenging at best. That said, those very challenges are what I enjoy about traveling in Europe. One never knows what is in store for them until it begins to unfold. I love Italy!

the location was exceptional, the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The room was generous size and clean. it also had good air conditioning.

Nothing I didn't like as such, but the reception area could be improved by making it a bit more spacious. The fontal of the hotel is very narrow and could be improved by taking in adjoining property such as supermarket and building a bar and larger reception

Ideal location for visiting the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and very friendly and helpful staff

Great location for a visit to the Tower, just a few minutes short walk away. The staff were responsive, friendly and helpful to us when we were navigating how and where to park and understanding the ZTL system. We really appreciated staff efforts to help, especially as our Italian was very limited.

The central location and proximity to the Tower is a plus, but our room was right on a busy main street and unfortunately in the early hours it was very loud as people returned from nights out, so we slept poorly. There were also a few mosquitos in our room even though we had no windows or doors left open any time during the stay, so this was a minor issue to sort out.

Ideal location for the sites. Clean, comfortable, friendly people and room (101) compact but not tiny.

Lots of street noise up to 2AM. No shelf space for toiletries in bathroom (see pic) Minute clothes hanging space with only two hangers so only suitable for a single nights stay (see pic)

A great place to stay in old Pisa

Quiet, spacious room, with good bathroom, good lighting, excellent air conditioning and excellent refrigerator and television. Very comfortable bed. The location is ideal with a view of the leaning tower from the terrace. Plenty of excellent restaurants just a few feet away. No traffic noise. All the staff were excellent and extremely helpful.

The room safe was old and did not work. Could do with a shelf in the bathroom and coat hangers.

We arrived at the hotel at 01:15 at night, opened the door with the password, and went to the room given to us, number 305. When we opened the door of the room, we saw that someone else was lying on the bed. We left immediately and at 3 am we were able to find a room in another hotel for 3 times the price.

Good value hotel in a great location.

Hotel is in an excellent location within a 5 minute walk to the Tower and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Room was clean, tidy and beds were reasonably comfortable. No noise from the main street nor draughts from windows. Breakfast was good value for money, however, there was no milk available for cereals or hot drinks.

It would've been nice to have a jug of milk next to the cereals to help yourself and be able to make your own hot drinks.

VERY basic rooms there were ants and bugs in the bed, I was itching all the time. I asked to change room the staff wrote ok but then start arguing and offered me to reimburse the room - i could not change hotel because in town for family emergency. Very noisy

The hotel is located a few steps away from the Pisa Tower and the Duomo. The staff is kind and attentive. Towels are great, bed is good.

You pay for the location

Excellent location, just round the corner from the Tower. It's a small hotel in a street full of restaurants but very good double glazing so no intrusive noise from pedestrians. No cars. It has a lift which we needed. All the staff we met were very helpful, we checked in early and they phoned for a taxi when we left. Comfy bed in a small but adequate room for 2 nights.

There wasn't a kettle in the room and had to ask for one and cups. A small matter, but unsightly, was the edge of a strip of wallpaper was peeling........... room 203

An excellent hotel just steps away from the Tower of Pisa

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Francesco. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. The location couldn't be better; we were only five minutes away from the tower, cathedral, and museums. This hotel was an exceptional value.

The rooms were not very big, but considering the age of the hotel it's not reasonable to expect huge rooms. If a large, modern hotel were to be built in this historic district it would completely ruin the character of the area.
