My stay was pleasant with a great location and friendly staff, though parking were inconvenient.

The location is excellent, making it convenient to get around and explore nearby attractions. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, which made the stay feel comfortable. I also felt secure throughout my visit, which added to the overall positive experience.

The location is convenient, but unloading luggage was not easy as there isn’t a direct drop-off area. The car park is located some distance from the hotel, which made arrival and departure less smooth.

Very clean and comfy place with friendly staff. Big plus for coffee machine!

Location is great, staff is really friendly and helpful. Room has everything you need: hair drainer, coffee machine, comfy and clean bed. Rooms were very warm during the coldest winter days. Walking distance to central station is around 15 minutes. I would choose the hotel once again.

Unfortunate

One of the staff members was extremely rude. Here is the context: On the night of december 26th our room heater stopped working. The room got really cold. My pregnant wife had a rough night. The next day we asked the recptionist what had happened. He gave a very long rehearsed explanation of what had happened… no sorry, just explanation of why the hotel could not do certain improvements because it was in the city center… We then told him as a suggestion that the hotel should warn people when this happens since the temperature during the night had become very bad. A warning could at least trigger extra blankets, having an emergency electrical heater etc. The receptionist became some how offended by this suggestion. He repeated the rehearsed explanation now with a very defensive tone. We explained to him where our suggestion was coming from and then went to our room… 10 minutes later he knocks on our door. When we open it we see him with a very aggressive face and tone that he wanted to check if the heater was now working… it was. Someone with that attitude should definitely not work in this industry.

Awful

Easy walk to downtown

Told the lift wasn’t working - saw 2 elderly guests with walking sticks check in before us - reception said they couldn’t help with luggage - we helped them as it was impossible for them to carry bags and get up stairs with sticks - lots of laundry carts of soiled linen in corridors- next morning the lift was working but only for linen- guests still had to use stairs!

The location

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. This time, the room was very run down and very small. The toilet flush was broken and held together with a stick and it stopped functioning during the 3rd night completely. The city had a drinking water problem during our stay and the hotel did not provide any bottles.

Great location but poor room position.

Location was perfect.

Room 119 looks directly over a kitchen scullery - the banging of pots and running water was incessant! 5 am and went on until midnight. Too noisy for sleep. Sadly we were rushed out each morning to make a timely complaint.

Unenjoyable stay

Staff were friendly and helpful. Main room was spacious. I liked that you could receive a voucher for a drink if you opted out of having your room cleaned.

Unfortunately not a great stay here. The hotel was incredibly noisy at night from noise outside. The room shook every time a vehicle went past! I appreciate this is out of the control of staff but still led to a bad experience staying here. The bathroom was tiny and barely room to actually stand in there! I was given prior warning that the elevator was out of order but another thing to add to the list. The rooms could use some renovation, the carpets were very uncomfortable to walk on. Whilst the hotel.is opposite a bus stop, buses never seem to actually turn up on time. Again I appreciate this is not the hotels fault but it all adds to a bad experience.

We intend to reserve the NH near the central station cause we travel with luggages, the closer one is more better but make the mistake because the hotel's names look similar or confuse for the foreigner. But the one we stay is nice too, it situated in the central of attraction center and easy to access. The staff is nice.

Lovely place, yet a little old finishings

The location was great, the room was great and the service aswell.

The room had a peculiar smell, maybe of humidity. We could only open one window to get fresh air. Also the elevator wasn’t wokring, but that’s not a big issue.

Kind and helpful staff, central location, old but cared-for building

This was my second stay at an NH Hotel, and the staff this time around were just as lovely and helpful as the first time. They were kind enough to set up a complimentary, last-minute treat package for my parents, who celebrated their wedding anniversary on the day of our check-in; and were always prompt to ask us whether we needed assistance whenever we returned from an outing or if they found us hanging by the reception, and to fix any problems (a TV remote that didn't work, a reading light that literally fell apart at the slightest touch). Though not exactly spacious, the rooms and beds were cosy. The location of the hotel is truly central, placing us at walking distance from several touristic sites and a wide array of shops and eateries.

Our only and minor caveat was with the old and worn condition of some parts of the building (stains in the walls in the hall and the shower floor, chipped wood in the door frames, the aforementioned reading light). Our understanding, though, was that the building is historic, making this understandable and easy to overlook.

As noisy as it gets

The room was directly above some restaurant or pub where they played loud techno music until well after midnight. Even with earplugs, the bass was still audible. The room was also directly above a busy road whose noise was hardly reduced by the thin windows. On a map, it looks like a cosy pedestrian street, but the amount of loud cars, buses and motorcycles that drive by is really substantial. Sometimes, the noise was so much that the furniture started vibrating. There were also many signs of wear on the furniture. There was a TV in the room that did not work. And the bathroom was so small that even for a normal sized person it was difficult to use without constantly bumping into things.

The location was very central though my room, at the front of the hotel, was quite noisy, traffic and music late.

location of hotel excellent. I booked a double standard room which was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was adequate. The sheets and bedding were clean. Good mattresses.

The room was `NOT clean. It was the room at the very end and to me it seemed like it had not been used in ages, and only the beds were freshly made up. The room was extremely dusty and i cleaned best as I could, with toilet paper. The decor is tired and the carpet was very dirty. All in all its needs and update and a VERY GOOD clean. The cleaning service did no dusting on the second day they came to the room!! Disappointing.

The location was very central and the room was clean.

The window could not be opened. I paid 230 Euros for one night (including my two dogs) and breakfast was not included. I think that this is grossly overpriced. Also: I looked for a hotel with private parking and then I was informed that there is no private parking and I had to leave my car elsewhere, paying 70 Euros a night. I don't know if Booking messed this up or the hotel: But for 230 Euros I think one can accept some perks.

Bed was comfortable but I only needed a single Good selection of hot drinks in the room. Good recommendation for dinner venue

At 115 euros , no breakfast and extra for parking it was poor VFM. The instructions about parking were v unhelpful. We walked for 12 minutes in the rain then had to move the car

Bad combination of unfriendly staff, claustrophobic room where you cannot open the window, but still VERY noisy street just outside. Air condition not working, bad air circulation.

A very basic hotel room....

Free water was appreciated. Staff was friendly and helpful. AC worked well.

Shower soap ran out and was never replenished. Room cards had to be redone almost daily.

Perfect location

Lovely spacious room in a beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. The reception and staff always courteous and very helpful.

Our first allocated room had a few issues, air-con broken, TV not working and cigarette ends just beneath the window outside, although we were given another room very quickly by the reception staff.
