The Roses B&B is a welcoming and warm home away from home.

The Roses b&b was really very good. The hosts, Andy and Lian, were lovely, welcoming and helpful. Our bedroom was a nice size with a bathroom across a small passage outside our room. I knew it was not an ensuite, as such, when I booked so it was not an issue. The b&b was warm and very convenient to Portree. It rained all through our visit but it would be a lovely walk into town in good weather. The home cooked breakfast was delicious.

B&B owners Andy and Lian are wonderful hosts, accommodation is spotless and so comfortable and breakfasts superb. If you are visiting Skye and looking for a B&B to stay you won’t better The Roses. The location is also great for touring the island

The Roses B&B is exceptional in ever way: immaculate, comfortable, and beautiful. The hosts are kind, helpful, generous, and extraordinarily attentive to the needs of their guests. In a three week trip, this was our most exceptional stay.

Hurricane winds on Skye meant we couldn’t experience the isle the way we had hoped. This is not the fault of the Roses, but it is the only thing that kept our visit from being perfect in every way. We would love to come back!

Immaculate and beautiful.

Hosts were amazing, friendly, helpful and with an eye for detail. The house was spotlessly clean and indeed probably the cleanest bnb I have ever stayed in. Guest lounge was a huge bonus.

Exceptional hosts, home, and experience!

Everything!!! The hosts were exceptionally friendly, courteous, attentive, sincere, and kind. Our two rooms, the dining area, and sitting area were pristine and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were outstanding, with many selections for all types of diets. Honestly, this is the best B&B in which we’ve ever stayed!!!

A rose in a vase at Roses B&B

Andy and Lian Na were wonderful hosts. Their home is very clean and comfortable. We had a large, quiet, beautifully decorated bedroom with ensuite (with shower and bath). There was a kettle, biscuits and some yummy local fudge. We could have used a guest lounge area if we had wanted to, but as we had 2 armchairs and a small table, we stayed in our room. Bedding and towels were quality. USB ports and a multi box made charging appliances easy. We used a guest fridge in the breakfast room to store some food we had brought with us. There was off street parking and instructions on finding the house were excellent. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts with a selection of juices, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, cooked food and toast. Oh, and cake, which we could have wrapped to take with us for later. Everything was homemade or locally procured. We enjoyed watching the birds feeding while we had breakfast.

We needed a hill out day during our stay and having a seperate lounge was great.

It was a gem of a property and the hosts were fantastic. Plenty of room and great facilities.

As we were older it was a 25 minute walk into town and the walk back was up hill. We are 75+. That’s not a problem for younger ones. We could drive our car in but parking a problem.

Clean, comfortable and cared for.

The property was immaculate with a comfortable bed, clean and well equipped room and bathroom and offered all we could want for our two night stay in Portree. Lina & Andy were very hospitable, caring and friendly and ensured we were well informed. The breakfast was delicious. We also were happily surprised by the slices of cake to take with us for morning tea.

The breakfast was varied and plentiful. The hosts were very obliging.

The only issue was that the bed linen and towels were very heavily scented which would probably be fine for most people but I found overwhelming at times.

Wonderful Hosts and Tasty Food

We really enjoyed our stay at The Roses B&B. Andy and Lian Na were extremely helpful and attentive hosts, and even shared important information about traffic and road closures prior to our arrival so we could plan accordingly. The B&B was clean and the breakfast was phenomenal. We especially loved the salmon, the yogurt, and the Scottish breakfast. We also enjoyed the extra coffee, tea, and treats. The location was fabulous, we were able to walk to town for dinner. It was only a short drive to visit sights around the island. We highly recommend staying here!

Don't Go Past The Roses

Welcoming, beautiful, immaculate, 5 star - these are only a few superlatives that are worthy of The Roses. Lian Na and Andy are hosts that love and take pride in what they do. They've dedicated themselves to just 2 guest rooms in their beautiful home and they excel at it. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome -- from being sent off each day with slices of home made cake 'for a snack' to myself coming 'home' after being treated for migraine by a dr and having to insist Andy continue with his plan to mow the lawn as he 'didn't want to reactivate my migraine'. Lastly, I've eaten at Michelin star restaurants before, but Lian Na's scrambled egg with or without smoked salmon is easily equal to them. Everything lovingly home made, from the yoghurt to the bread. Probably the best B&B in Scotland if not the UK (at least the ones I've stayed at, and there are many). Thanks again Lian Na and Andy x

We honestly loved everything about the property! From the beautiful views from all around the house to the fireplace in the common room and the bathroom and bedroom. It was spacious, clean, warm, and inviting.

Parking was slightly difficult, but other than that the house was perfect.

The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was absolutely spotless, lot of space to feel comfortable in. Location is super, good base for the important sights. Breakfast is of high quality with good choices. We really appreciated the preventative measures and that there is only one other guest room, therefore very quiet!

Beautiful Bungalow, immaculate in every way. Breakfast amazing. Homemade Yogurt delicious as well as a large selection of everything to choose from. Top notch Haggis for breakfast.
