Great friendly welcome, very homely, clean and well equiped

The breakfast was lovely, great variety of choice in both continental and cooked breakfast, you ordered your cooked breakfast the night before and the quality was high. There was a wide selection of teas and fresh coffee.

Wonderful stay!

A group of friends and I stayed at this accommodation for three days and had a wonderful time. We received a very warm welcome and they made sure that everything was unforgettable during our stay. The beds were super comfortable. Andrew and Mairi were very friendly. Every day they left us a sheet so we could make our breakfast to our liking, and the next day at the appointed time, there it was! Everything was delicious. We were lucky enough to enjoy three days in Portree and the Isle of Skye, which were our favorite parts of the trip. We hope to return someday soon. Best regards. Marina, Nacho, and Esaúl

Comfortable and cozy

Love how cozy and warm the cottage is. Great view from our room. Great breakfast - the best B&B breakfast I’ve had. Andrew and Maddy are great hosts. The complimentary whiskey made a cold night warm and fuzzy 😁

Exceeded expectations- Beautiful property with super friendly hosts and an amazing Breakfast!

We had the loveliest stay at Rockview. Super friendly hosts, and beautifully appointed property in the heart of everything. We stayed in The Gables which was just perfect in every way. Breakfast was exceptional too. We couldn’t recommend Rockview highly enough and would definitely stay here again.

Feeling you have visited friends

What a welcome! This is not only a very nice little hotel in an an old Portree house by the sea, the owners are very nice people: you feel you are visiting friends. The room is small, but our room was facing the sea and it was more important. I also appreciated the bottle of whisky available in the corridor.

Parking is opposite and free but not automatically available...but that of course is not the responsibility of the hotel

Literal Perfect Stay!

This was pretty much a perfect experience for my wife and I. We loved the view, the location and the breakfasts. The staff was so friendly and made us feel welcome the entire time. Honestly, it was the best stay of our whole trip. We will be booking again next time we visit Isle of Skye.

Great delightful informative couple running the place. A bit hard to find, only because we were in the middle of a storm and we didn't notice the name on the glass above the door; look for that and you can't miss it. Great breakfast. Right around the corner from downtown, shops, and the classic view of Portree's colorful harbor. Everything a B & B is supposed to "B"! Thanks Andrew! Oh...and classy perk...there's a bottle of Talisker scotch and glasses on a table in the 2nd (OK...first) floor landing for guests to sample. I really liked that. Front room had a beautiful view of the bay and mountains.

It would have been good if the room temperature could be controlled from within the room as at some point overnight it got a bit too hot and one of my friends struggled to sleep.. Having said that I slept like a log and maybe there was a controller somewhere which we didn't find. But all in all a lovely place to stay. Everyone was very pleased! Thank you!

A lovely choice to experience the local pace of life.

The host was incredibly warm and welcoming – they even shared some local Talisker whisky with us, which made us feel right at home. The room was spacious and comfortable, and it was wonderfully quiet at night. It’s a great location too – just a short walk to Portree park and the town centre, and the view from the window was absolutely stunning. The traditional Scottish breakfast was hearty and thoughtfully prepared – quite different from what you’d usually get elsewhere, and clearly made with care.

The only small downside was that the bathwater was a bit too cool.

Lovely visit to Portree- such nice accommodations with a view of the bay.

Andrew and Mairi were lovely host and hostess. It was a busy weekend in Portree so parking was a little tricky, but we were patient and fortunately found parking across from there home each afternoon. Breakfast was the best we had in Scotland.

1 of the 2 hosts, Mairi, greeted us as her husband Andrew walking their dog. She was super welcoming and offered her insight to the area. The breakfast she cooked up for us was wonderful. During breakfast, since we were the first to schedule, she was chatty and told us a little bit about herself and her background along with her husband's. While it was winter and we got in after rough weather all the way from Glasgow into Skye, the view the following morning was gorgeous. We would definitely stay here again!

A place to fall in love with Portree

The location is perfect, the parking spot is just steps from the front door. The house owners are amazing - very thoughtful, easy-going and attentive. The breakfast is home-made, we also had a very nice dinner (Mairi is a chef). The bathroom has a bath! Very nice after long walks in cold Scotland summer)

The standard room is quite small and dark. Also, in the pictures of the rooms you can see a terrace, which is confusing- I thought our room has a balcony - was one of the reason I chose the place. Other than that, nothing to complain about)

Excellent place to stay in Portree- absolutely recommend!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Rockview. The husband and wife who run the place are so welcoming. The views of the water were such a lovely sight to see every morning at breakfast. The breakfasts were the highlight of our stay- delicious! Location was also great- everything was walkable. We stayed in the room with the double beds and it turned out to be more spacious than what I perceived from the pictures. I would absolutely stay here again
