The owner, thoun speaks excellent English and will sort out anything you need, he’s calm and informative. The property is down a small lane, quiet , but a walk to the harbour! Immaculate clean and beautifully decorated

One of the nicest family’s you’ll meet at this homestay,any questions I had about the island were answered in perfect detail. I felt very accommodated and looked after while staying at the property

We had a lovely stay in Cat Ba Central Homestay. The rooms are nice, they have ACs, a hot shower and a fridge. Its only a few minutes walking from the beach and restaurants. The owners are very kind and love to help you out in booking trips while you are in Cat Ba. We rented a scooter and also did the boat trip to Lan Ha Bay and Ha Long Bay. The owner also booked our bus to our next destination in Vietnam. While you are here, try their breakfast! The banana pancakes are lovely. Would definitely recommend staying here!

None to be honest. It was a great stay and the owners are very kind.

I didn't like having to go to the 5th floor (no elevator). The a.c. in the room worked really slowly (up to 40 minutes to cool the room) on a not so hot day. Of course you can try to leave it on at a reasonable temperature, but the owner just turns everything off once you leave your room. Finally, the location of the homestay is a bit far from all the restaurants. I'm talking about a 20 minute non flat walk. All in all, I think it's not worth the money. I think it's too expensive considering the location and facilities.
