We had such a lovely stay at Joystay 💛
The homestay is run by two incredibly friendly brothers who make you feel welcome from the very first moment. Their service is warm, genuine, and always attentive.
The bungalows are super cute and cozy—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
And the food… wow! Absolutely delicious. We especially loved the fish with tomato sauce—so fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
A really nice experience overall—we’d happily come back!
I missed a nice outside area at our bungalow to sit and chill.
And the air conditioning is quite noisy. And some other noise, I think from the water pump.

Lovely quirky bungalows and beautiful scenery all around. Peaceful too. There is a restaurant within the complex but also another fun bar-restaurant called Binhs Motorcycles which serves great food and cocktails , and has a nice roof top terrace just across the road. Near Cat Ba national park too.
Quite far from main town. Need to get a taxi. It says it’s near a beach which it is but it was very dirty after a storm and could not swim in it. However JoyStay has their own driver who can drive you into town and the beaches for £4 each way and takes 20 mins. Very easy.

Nice, quiet and beautiful place to stay. Wonderful garden.
The location is not the best, although there are nice restaurants close by.

Such gorgeous bungalows! Staff could not do more for us, they are so welcoming and friendly, accommodating us when we were stranded for an extra night due to a mini typhoon. Highly recommend!!
