Nice, quiet and beautiful place to stay. Wonderful garden.

The location is not the best, although there are nice restaurants close by.

Such gorgeous bungalows! Staff could not do more for us, they are so welcoming and friendly, accommodating us when we were stranded for an extra night due to a mini typhoon. Highly recommend!!

Nothing really

The property was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the linen smelt lovely and the breakfast was very tasty. The owner was very accommodating and was happy to move some things around when we extended our stay by one night. We could also book our onward bus via the reception and the owners brother even accompanied us with umbrellas to the bus stop as it was raining, top service!

The property was great but the nearby beach was covered in litter and not the most appealing swim spot, although I did see a few locals swimming there. For better beaches you need to travel around 20 minutes into Cat Ba town, you can rent a moped from the reception for a small fee which makes this fairly straightforward or there is a local bus service.

The beds were comfortable and the owner spoke great English and was very accommodating.

The family bungalow really need a table and chairs as there is no where to sit except on the floor or the bed that is right on the floor. Not ideal for westerners. The homestays is 9km out of Cat Ba town and Grabs are no allowed on the island so you need to take a taxi for 150,000 each way. The motorbike rental right next to the homestays is TERRIBLE. Our 1st motorbike broke down in town, had to wait for another to arrive, but the 2nd one the speedometer door not work, only one mirror that you could not adjust, no phone holder, the seat did not lock so storage under the seat was not secure, and the breaks were horrible. Do not rent a motorbike from him!!
