    Unfortunately there is major construction happening.they we're working 24 hours a day. Couldn't sleep.chose hotel and room for view and it was nothing but a construction site

    The hotel per se is nice with spacious and clean rooms. Breakfast is decent too. We stayed on 30th and 31st December and felt like we were the only guests though Cat Ba had many tourists. Location is great and right near the happening area at Cat Ba. We had a great ocean facing room with balcony. However, there is a huge contruction going on right in front which is a bit of a let down (though the hotel can't do anything about that).

    I visited Cat Ba during the winter, which was a slow season, and I was surprised to find I was the only guest at the hotel that night (on a weekday). When I checked in, the hallway lights were off, which made the atmosphere a bit scary—though it was also kind of funny. The receptionist was quite nice and she connected with me on Whatsapp and make sure everything is ok during my stay. The room itself was clean, spacious, and offered a lovely view of the bay, making it quite decent overall. However, the water temperature was inconsistent, fluctuating between suddenly cold and overly hot, which was frustrating. Additionally, there was an unpleasant odor coming from the drain, causing the bathroom to smell bad. These issues definitely need attention. That said, it’s still a good value for the price. I’d consider staying here again, but the view may be obstructed by the newly built village in front, so it’s hard to say how the experience might change in the future.
