Cat Ba Serena Homestay And Swimming Pool

What a lovely place to stay a few days in Tam Coc!!! Lisa and her family were so welcoming and supports be with any ask we had. The pool was great and there were enough sunbeds and shade to cool down. For breakfast you could chose one of the many options and it was all freshly made and really good. We also liked the fact that we could rent bikes directly from the homestay and enjoyed biking during the rice fields. The best memory - Lisa surprised our daughter with a birthday cake when she turned 13. That was sooooo sweet and kind!!! Overall good value for your money and a lovely place!!

Just something to be aware of: the old owner has some dogs that loved to hang out on the terrace in front of our room. If you love dogs or don’t mind them (they literally just lay down there) then all good. We on the other hand did not realize how much our youngest daughter was afraid of dogs and she was not so relaxed around them.

The manager, Nea (?), was fabulous and very helpful. The Homestay was just like advertised and we would recommend it for anyone wanting a peaceful location. They arranged taxis to collect/drop off from the connection with the Cat Ba Express, and also to the caves and National Park. The other staff were helpful and friendly although didn’t speak English

The only thing to improve would be the shower - Luke warm water and a slow flow

The two brothers who manage the hotel are very friendly, professional, and helpful. They are flexible, provide transportation options, and do their best to accommodate guests.

the hotel is advertised in booking.com as beachfront, while the actual beach is about 6 km away. The rooms are very small and lack a TV, safe, and small refrigerator. There is also no waiter service; food is ordered through the manager.
