Serena Cat Ba homestay

I had a wonderful stay at Serena Cat Ba! The hotel is in a peaceful location surrounded by beautiful mountains, perfect for relaxing away from the busy town. The swimming pool and the small garden are lovely, and my bungalow was spotless with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of fresh fruit, pancakes, hot dishes, and many other delicious options. A special thanks to Mr. Nghia, who was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout my stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I truly enjoyed my time here. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would be happy to come back!

We loved the breakfasts with the views of the jungle mountains and swimming pool. Lovely buffet available.

I suppose the shower drains could be a bit icky, and a mosquito net for the bathroom window might also be a good idea. That said, I’ve noticed this is very common in all hot-climate villas I’ve stayed in (whether in Greece, Spain, or Vietnam!) and mosquitoes tend to come with the territory! Non-issues really... Overall, it’s a really charming place and we’ve genuinely enjoyed staying here. Highly recommend!

The property is located in the heart of the island away from the main city. You get the beautiful mountains, forest as the back drop. It’s incredibly peaceful and you can appreciate the beauty of the location. The staff are very attentive and will make to facilitate any activities. Linda is an excellent manager of the property, and special thanks to Nia for helping make our stay exceptional.

Garden was nice, sheets had been changed, cafe next door. We liked the location of the property but it’s not really doable without renting a motorbike, you can rent one in cat ba town for 150k per day

Bathroom hadnt been cleaned (someone’s old German toiletries left in the bathroom), room was mouldy, lock to room didn’t work (staff knew this too), had no water from 7:00pm one night until after 5:00am next morning. No apologies for any of this. Swimming pool walls were green, place was generally not very looked after. Breakfast was terrible would be much better as an à la carte breakfast as buffet was not topped up and old and oily. It was one of the most expensive places we booked in 5 weeks in Vietnam and it fell into the bottom two of all the places we stayed. The food and drink also at the property were very expensive compared to everywhere else
