Loch Eyre House

Very beautiful and private place with an astonishing views and very welcoming owner who helped us with everything we needed. Would recommend this place to everyone who travels through Highlands as it’s a perfect starting point to lots of locations. 10/10 for me every time.

It was a very easy drive. We arrived early evening and felt immediately inspired by the views over the loch. Our room was spotless and very nicely presented with a quality bed and bedding, good shower, lovely towels and tea tray. We had a balcony so spent our evenings watching the sun go down. Even if you don’t choose a balcony, there is outside seating and plenty of space to sit and admire the view. The shared lounge is really comfortable and a great space to relax if you don’t want to stay in your room or if it gets too chilly outside. The view from there is beautiful. Breakfast was really good and on the morning when we had to leave early for a tour, our hosts offered us a breakfast to go. Customer service throughout was exceptional.

The views through the huge window in the gathering space were breathtaking. We loved seeing the neighboring cows. It was very tranquil. We opened the windows at night and could hear the stream outside our garden side 3 person room. The location on the Trotternish loop was ideal. Portree was a little too busy in June. We enjoyed being a little removed from town.

We would have liked an earlier breakfast. 8 am seems late when the sun rises at 4:30.

The view in the communal lounge was amazing, the food and service was good , we requested an early breakfast which was no trouble at all

I was just disappointed with the standard of the place , for the money I paid I expected more especially it being advertised at 4 stars, we allocated a room at the back so had no view , it was comfortable , clean & the shower was hot
