Quiet country peaceful oasis.

Absolutely loved the feeling of space with the surrounding gardens and stream flowing only a few metres from our front door. Great stay at Dunvegan Camping Pods!!

We stayed in pod 1. It's so comfy and cosy. The fact that there's everything available made our stay great!!. The WiFi is great too, didn't have any connectivity issues. Can't ask for anything more. Loved the stay here. Highly recommended. Will definitely come back.

If I have to point out then perhaps the toaster could have been cleaned. But honestly it wasn't a deal breaker for us as we used the hob 😁

Great glamping experience

The camping pod was very cute :) It had all the necessities. The glamping feeling was awesome. It was clean and very well kept.

The towels were clean, but had a bit of a damp smell because of the fact that we could not leave the window open when we were not there.

Very good!

We stayed in two pods with my family for two nights during our road trip to Scotland. The location is very strategic, off the main road of Dunvegan providing access to the entire island. They overlook a stream and you can walk up to the shore of Loch Dunvegan. The pods are comfortable, and very well equipped. The heating is good and keeps the pods warm. The bed is a little small for two full sized adults but we slept comfortably both nights. Communication with John was very easy and pleasant who, on our request, left us a spare set of sheets for the sofa in case we needed to sleep separately. We didn’t need them in the end. We had never stayed in pods before and we do not go camping so we had mixed feelings when we booked them. Dunvegan camping pods left us all feeling positive.

One of the pods had increased humidity which got better with the heating but did not go away completely. Also, the towels in both had a smell of dampness.

Great way to holiday

First time staying in a pod. Overall it was pretty good. Great location to explore the top of Skye It had everything needed to be self sufficient, as far as kitchen stuff was concerned.

Be aware that the bathroom is very small.

Perfect location; gracious host; comfortable accommodations

The Glamping pods in Dunvegan are perfect for a couple or 3 ppl. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean and there is a cooking hob to prepare meals. We found the location perfect! Walking distance to Dunvegan castle and the 2 churches walk. There are a few places to eat, but we found cooking in and eating on the picnic table to be much more satisfying. We will definitely book again if we visit Skye!

Perfect spot

We were a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 kids and had a very comfortable stay!! Yes, it's small, but actually bigger than I expected! It was easy to cook in the pod!!! Some people have complained about it being by the road, but it didn't bother us at all, as the layout of the grounds is very peaceful! Beautiful well kept grass and a tranquil little creek that runs through! Dunvegan had bakery and food options! The location is further from Portree area but we loved this because we got a chance to visit more of this side of the isle, while still doing the big areas!

The pod was damp all the time. The heater helps but is loud and unrealistic to have on all the time. The bathroom smelled moldy/damp and it's no wonder. There's no way for the humidity from the shower to escape. There was a vent but it didn't work. The pod itself, if all the other issues were resolved, could be ok for one max two people when it isn't raining all the time (good luck with that on Skye) but for three, it was very cramped and disappointing. The bed wasn't comfortable either.

Isle of Skye pod stay

John's hospitality and the comfortable pod was further made even better by the location. The pod has everything one need and the attention to small detail is evident. This was our best stay on the trip so far and worth the drive and trek to get there. No fuss check-in and the bakery down the street is a once in a lifetime experience.

A lovely retreat in nature to rest after a long day of exploring.

Lovely pods in an ideal location for exploring the surrounding beauty of Skye. The village of Dunvegan has lots of amenities within working distance. Good food, drink and friendly people. The pod was an ideal place to rest after a long day of sightseeing. Sitting out the front of the pod in the sunshine listening to the birds in the evening was just lovely.

Great experience from start to finish, with a call from the owner beforehand explaining how to check in etc. Location was quiet, although there is a small shop and places to eat very nearby. The pod itself is cozy, clean and even the WiFi worked well. Definitely a good base for exploring that side of Skye.

This is not a dislike, when we arrived it was not clear how we should access the lodge as the owner does not live on site, had it not been for the post office staff telling us where the owner lived we would have been in the dark and not knowing what to do as the phone No povided did not connect. This should be in the what to do on arrival in discription.

Very clean, exceptionally good equipped, also for cooking, quiet an cosy under the threes, short walk from shops and restaurants. Owners very helpfull and friendly. Will be back!
