Wonderful and comfortable cottage on the beautiful Isle of Skye

This cottage is outstanding. The rooms are cosy, the kitchen is fully equipped (incl. dishwasher and washing machine), the location is next to the sea with view of the Loch (at least in autumn with no leaves on the trees), the bathroom is up to date (with underfloor heating!), and everything is working (except of the fire place). Coffee, tea and sugar was provided, even a complimentary bottle of Rioja.

Chimney was defect, but heating worked, so no real problem, just a bit less homely. Upper floor ceiling height is a bit low (but adding to the atmosphere).

Overall this property was perfect! Cozy, enough space, well stocked and very clean and updated.

This property was perfect for our getaway in the Highlands. The cottage was clean, updated, and had everything we needed (with the small exception of firewood, but not a deal breaker in my opinion). The heated flooring in the bathroom and upgraded amenities were amazing, beds were comfy enough, and there were a few games and a Smart TV to keep us entertained.

Honestly we really liked everything! The one note I'd give is that the WiFi didn't really seem to work in the bedrooms very well, but wasn't a problem in the rest of the house and we didn't notice it's absence too much. The location also worked well for our trip as we had a few days to explore Skye, but it is a bit far up north so for those on shorter trips it might add a bit of extra driving.

Nice location but disappointing accommodation

The kitchen was well-equipped although some units need attention and the bathroom was lovely with a nice big separate bath.

Unfortunately the fire in the sitting room could not be used. The cottage was not sufficiently cleaned with many insects on the ground floor. WiFi was practically non-existent. Cottage interior was quite dark. Needs some redecorating.

Nice relaxing stay and look forward to coming back

I liked the tranquillity of the place, it was heaven for me, it was a long drive to get too but worth it, especially waking up next morning, the views were beautiful, the cottage was ace, will definitely come back

Was not happy with the 5pm check-in time and then check-out by 10:00am, so I paid for 3 full days for a cottage where I got only to stay for 2 & half days, very unhappy about that, would prefer an earlier entrance, entrance by 12pm out by 12pm to get the days I paid for

Sehr schönes Feriencottage. Sehr gute, gepflegte Ausstattung es fehlte einfach nichts ! Freundlicher Empfang durch nette Kleinigkeiten in der Küche. Ein Platz zum wohlfühlen. Ein besonderes Goodie, die Möglichkeit das Dunvegan Castle (auch an mehreren Tagen) während dem Aufenthalt kostenlos zu besuchen.

Wir konnten die Kamine nicht nutzen ... aber der Grund dafür ist ok...Vögel brüten im Schornstein

Nettes Cottage, charmant renoviert

Entzückendes kleines Cottage (Rose Valley), mit viel Liebe renoviert... Wir haben uns sofort heimisch gefühlt. Badezimmer und Küche sind neu und auf gutem Stand der Technik. Gutes TV-Gerät im Wohnzimmer mit vielen Kanälen... Größtes Plus ist sicher die Lage im Schloss. Vor allem morgens oder abends ermöglicht das einen wunderbaren Spaziergang im Schlossgarten mit herrlicher Aussicht. Eintritt zum Schloss und Garten ist inkludiert! Vor dem Haus gibt es einen kleinen Picknicktisch für die Bewohner mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf dem Loch Dunvegan.

Die beiden Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss sind gemütlich, aber durch die Dachschräge etwas beengt. Für uns war die Matratze und der fehlende Lattenrost (gezimmertes Bett) nicht passend und gemütlich, für andere Gäste vielleicht schon....
