I really loved the location of Dunvegan Castle Rose Valley Cottage. It is beautiful, peaceful, and very well situated. The cottage had everything we needed and felt comfortable overall.
For the price, I expected better maintenance and upkeep. Some appliances did not function as well as they should, and the flooring had damaged areas which felt unsafe in places.

This cottage is outstanding. The rooms are cosy, the kitchen is fully equipped (incl. dishwasher and washing machine), the location is next to the sea with view of the Loch (at least in autumn with no leaves on the trees), the bathroom is up to date (with underfloor heating!), and everything is working (except of the fire place). Coffee, tea and sugar was provided, even a complimentary bottle of Rioja.
Chimney was defect, but heating worked, so no real problem, just a bit less homely. Upper floor ceiling height is a bit low (but adding to the atmosphere).

The setting was excellent! Very nicely decorated - absolutely everything you could need in the cottage. Fabulous that entry to Dunvegan Castle was free!
