Our stay was absolutely incredible! The location is unbeatable, situated right on the coast. A real highlight was watching the seals sunbathing on a small island nearby during low tide.
The wooden cabin itself was extremely cozy and warm. We loved the feeling of being "positively isolated" right on the shore; even when the storms and rain rolled in, it only made the cabin feel more like a safe haven. It was the perfect "off-the-grid" escape where we could completely forget about civilization and just be grateful for the nature around us.
The place was spotlessly clean and very well-equipped with everything we needed, including proper cutlery, a flashlight, and binoculars. John was a fantastic host—very friendly and always up for a nice chat every day.
The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, and there was no matching wall mount for the showerhead. But it’s no big deal considering how great everything else was.

Comfortable stay, allot of privacy and own parking spot next to the cabin. Nice heads up message from the owner telling us everything we needed to know. He made sure the cabin was heated when we arrived. The view out of the cabin was amazing!
The road leading up to the cabin could be a bit challenging for the first drive because of the potholes (especially in the dark).

Stunning location and the interior of the log cabin is so beautiful. Great amenities and everything you need for your stay. I will definitely recommend to others.

John, the owner, was welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. The cottage is private and in a scenic, natural water front location and is well insulated and heated, is equipped with everything a couple could want for a short stay. Milk, coffee, tea, orange juice were provided. The shower is the perfect temperature but is a little small. Internet reception was good. Bring some supplies as local cafes and restaurants are unreliable. The town of Portree, about 40 minutes away, has good cafes etc. All up this property is a great stay.
The shower was a little small but this wasn’t a big issue for us. The cabins other features (equipment, location and friendly owner) more than made up for this.
