Karst Stone Cottage

We loved the kindness of the host and his flexibility which made our stay in beautiful Karst Stone Cottage even more pleasing and memorable.

The host (Rok) is a wonderfully knowledgeable and nice person.

While we loved the inside of the cottage (apart from the living room having a single small window), the outside remains a never-started work-in-progress that ruined what would otherwise be a perfect experience.

The house was absolutely amazing, everything well thought out to the smallest detail for the comfort of guests. On top of that, the owners honoured the Slovenian cultural heritage by preserving the traditional Karst house features beautifully. Rok, who is the house guardian, does his job perfectly. He is very kind, accurate and always helpful with providing local advice. We were there with two small kids and everything was just perfect.

It's a lovely old house, which was renovated to offer the comfort that we expected on our holidays. The village is very lovely and the house has a great view of the surrounding valleys. We spent most of our day in the outside terrace, in the garden. We were looking for a quiet retreat and this is what we got.

There were some issues with the kitchen equipment not working as expected. We communicated this to the owner and I have no doubt this is just a temporary thing and will be taken care of. Also, do take same form of mosquito prevention as they are quite enjoying this place.
