San Nicolò Suites

We had a wonderful experience at San Nicolo Suites. The suite was spacious, very clean, comfortable, and perfectly located in the centre of Trieste, within walking distance to the main attractions, restaurants, and the beautiful waterfront. Our host, Diana, was exceptional. She was very friendly, engaging, supportive, and always available to help with anything we needed during our stay. Her hospitality truly made a difference and made us feel very welcome. We especially appreciated that Diana personally drove us to the Trieste Airport very early in the morning. Finding a reliable taxi at 5am can be difficult, so her kindness and support were greatly appreciated. We highly recommend San Nicolo Suites and Diana to anyone visiting Trieste. An excellent accommodation with outstanding hospitality!

Comfort, convenience and charm; San Nicola Suites delivers! Behind an assuming historical wooden door is accommodation that warmly embraces the charm of yesterday with modern amenities. From the functional kitchen, relaxed living room to the comfy bed with mood lighting, the suite I stayed in was perfecto. The rain shower was an added bonus to make the stay a traveler’s escape with benefits. Although I didn’t use the super soaker tub, couples might appreciate the two-seater after a full day exploring Trieste on foot. Location was magnifico. In one direction you are greeted by the salty sea breeze of the marina, and in the other direction you are steps away from ancient Roman ruins. The Borsa piazza square feeds into Unity square and you are surrounded by old world architectural beauty and bars and restaurants to feed your appetite. The grand canal is moments away and offers more flavours and patio seating. I highly recommend the grilled octopus! Take your selfie! Trieste is full of charm and San Nicola Suites delivers from the moment you step into the small lobby. Don’t worry about missing your gym workout, the vintage door will work your muscles and you’ll get your walking steps in exploring this very walkable city. While the building is equipped with a modern elevator (for those of us with bulky suitcases), it is the exposed stone and brick walls and the basin sink that transports you to another era. I don’t know who lived here before but the owners have captured the charm of yesterday with the convenience and comfort of today. I was initially worried about security in an apartment setting but the 3 doors and keypad codes all worked smoothly. Diana is available throughout the day to answer questions and her hospitality was much appreciated by this non-Italian speaking guest. If you’re looking for a unique accommodation in Trieste that will wow you-San Nicola Suites should be on your bucket list! Bellisima! Thank you Diana for giving me a memorable stay.

Loved the two person hot tub in the room!!! Living room, kitchen and bathroom were all fantastic as well! We loved the location and was only about 150ft from Harry’s Piccolo, a 2 Michelin star restaurant where we had dinner!
