First visit to Trieste

The position was perfect for us. Easy walk from railway station with our suitcases. Situated in a very busy area but the room was so quiet. Well fitted out but no view at all of anything for us We did not spend a lot of time there anyway. It was extremely helpful having washing machine etc available to use. This was our first visit to Trieste and we did enjoy the city. Interesting with great food and some lovely shops. The hosts were very responsive to any queries we had so Thankyou.

It was really only the lack of view over even the central courtyard. We faced a wall.

Fantactic surprise find!

The San Nicolò Suites are amazing! They are located in the heart of Trieste 100 meters from the Piazza della Borsa, on the third floor of an early 19th century building. The suites occupy the entirety remodeled 3rd floor by husband and wife Architects Giovanni and Diana approximately 3 years ago. Each room is very spacious and has its own unique characteristics from jacuzzi tubs with chroma therapy lighting to a spacious corner room with grand windows overlooking the “walking only” streets below where locals congregate at the cafes and bar/restaurants in the mornings and evenings. Do not worry Giovanni and Diana have gone to Great lengths to insulate all of the Suites from any outside noise and summer tempratures. Each room has at least two air conditioners to keep each room comfortable at all times. We rather enjoyed hearing the locals gathered below, as it gave a real sense of being in the heart of the city. Giovanni and Diana go to great lengths to be available to their guests at all times should any issues or questions arise. We enjoyed our stay so much we ended up extending our trip, an additional three or four days. For the value and the location and the attention of the owners I would find it hard to believe there could be anything as nice, as spacious and such a pleasure to stay at anywhere in Trieste! Not only did we fall in love with Trieste, We fell in love with the San Nicolò Suites and can’t wait to return.

Parking, but then again we chose to rent a car and tour several countries. However, you can park about 50meters away on adjacent street temporarily to load and unload if necessary and then re-park on another street or nearby garage. Don’t be deceived by the maps. Everything is much closer than it appears.

Excellent!

Location is excellent. Mind that the property is located in the centre, so both streets (building is on the corner) are pedestrian zone with lot of cafes and restaurants, fortunately, the property has triple glazed windows, so you don't hear anything if closed. Apartment is very very nice, roomy and well equipped as on the photos. There is no key collection, it is handsfree, since you are sent the code for the room door in a message.

A bit too cold in the apartment and especially in the main corridor. It was over 35 outside, so when we entered it was a bit of a shock.

If you’re looking for an excellent value luxury apartment in the heart of Trieste then look no further!

The most incredible apartments with a perfect location. Very easy to find and room felt safe and secure. Room fully stocked with all amenities including tea, coffee, toiletries and some jams. The hosts are beyond kind. They ensured we arrived safely from the airport (as we landed late at night) by sending us the best public transport options. No matter the hour of the day, we always got an immediate response from them. We also were extremely grateful to receive a complimentary room upgrade to a larger apartment (however I’m sure the original room would have been lovely too!). It was great to be able to wash and dry our clothes at no extra cost and even air them in the room after with the rack provided. The room itself was absolutely spotless with loads of towels provided. It was lovely and cool so we never felt too hot at any point.

Charming small studio apartment in great location but no external facing window

Its location was right in the centre of Trieste with easy walking distance to key sites, restaurants and cafes. The apartment was very modern and clean, and the host was available via WhatsApp to assist if we had any questions or problems.

The only window in the studio apartment looked onto an internal wall and provided very little natural sunlight. Some clear instructions in English on how to use the washing machine would have been helpful.

Got the job done!

Despite it being an old building, there was an elevator which made moving luggage much easier. Loved the kitchen facilities, even cooked a meal. Despite the crowds at the entrance, once you were inside, the space was very quiet.

The security door closed loudly whenever someone entered. The murphy bed had a rail that trapped you in at night making it bathroom runs difficult. The entry door sits between two very popular clubs, and was partially blocked by patrons when we arrived making locating it a bit difficult.

Excellent location near historic buildings and piazzas in a beautiful part of the city.

The location was great for walking to the highlights of the area. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Although it is in a busy pedestrian area, the apartment was very quiet. We could walk to the bus or train station and had good access to public bus system, and we enjoyed being in the historic area.

Amazing! Clean place with great facilities, very well designed and awesome location!

Great location. Close to Piazza Unità d'Italia, Canal grande and the parking lot Molo IV (all within short walking distance). The apartment was nicely designed, very clean and had two ACs. We could see the neighborhood and even had a view of the sea. Overall: great place, would totally recommend!

The kitchen could do with a few wine glasses. The bathroom could use a hanger or two to hang your clothes, so that one can store their own clothes more easily. Some small lights (i.e. reading lights) in the bedroom area would be nice as well, so that you do not have to use the big lights the entire time.
