Dont book this and neither the Greif Hotel

Breakfast is really great in the hotel.

This whole operation between the apartment and the Greif Hotel is a scam! Don't book it. We have booked the Sissi Apartment for one night. (We have been here before, and the apartment is truly wonderful, besides one dysfunctional terrace door). On the day of the arrival the hotel called us, that it is cold in the apartment due to a disfunctional terrace door, so they offer a nice suite in the 5* hotel (Greif Hotel Maria Theresia Trieste) for the same price. When we arrived, they have put us an old, worn down, tiny little (20 sqm?) room (for 3 people and a dog), which was probably not more that 2* worth. I do not understand how this hotel is classified as 5*. The rooms are terrible, small, the hotel is like a simple big old house, the elevator is from the 50's? Everything old, dirty, falling apart and average. There are very nice and decent 3* hotels in the city, that are much better than this (we visit Trieste quite often). Don't book the apartment, because it is a scam, and don't book the hotel because it is worth max 90 Euros per night. (We overheard also at the reception another family, when they arrived, and the same story was presented to them with the broken terrace door and cold temperature. Hotel Greif should change it's whole management. Or maybe we should have reported this scam to the police.)

Perfect, cosy flat with free parking

This apartment is a very spacious flat, with two bathrooms. It was comfortable to stay, we had everything we needed in the little kitchen too (maybe a microwave would be nice to have). It was also clean and tidy. I liked that I can park my car in a safe place for free. Beach is close to the apartment, but to reach Trieste centrum, you need to drive, or take a bus (the bust stop is next to the apartment) so the location is very good too. We liked it very much, strongly recommended.

Disappointing since we primarily wanted a place to take a critical video call and where our daughter could swim.

The apartment was nicely decorated and had two bathrooms. It was easy to park and there was an elevator so we could get our suitcases up to the 1st floor.

The WiFi was terrible. It was difficult to even load a web-page. The swimming pool closed at 8pm and we were told at the reception that we couldn’t use it the next morning either.

Leider bekamen wir nicht das Quartier das wir gebucht hatten!

Frühstück sehr gut. Hotel grundsätzlich sehr schön.

Uns wurde am Vorabend mitgeteilt, dass das gebuchte Appartement (Appartement Sissi 110 qm) nicht zur Verfügung steht (gebrochenes Fenster, das nicht repariert werden kann). Es wurde uns ein "Ersatzquartier" in Triest vorgeschlagen, dass aber nicht unseren Erwartungen entsprach. Nach mehrfachem urgieren bekamen wir ein Zimmer im Hotel (Hotel Greif Maria Theresia) angeboten (versprochen wurde ein Deluxe Zimmer mit Meerblick). Wir bekamen ein Deluxe Zimmer (19 qm) aber ohne Meerblick. Leider wurde uns auch keine Preisreduktion gewährt.
