Casa Al Porto Antico

We loved the duplex apartment: tastefully and thoughtfully decorated, fully equipped (great aircon!) and with a lovely little roof terrace with a sliver of view of the port (and a roof window with a bonus view of the church tower). Our host Aleksandra was very welcoming and we were able to store our luggage on the day we left and make the most of our day. The apartment was wonderfully central, within the pedestrian area of the old town but right on the edge of it, close to taxi drop offs and the port. Worth mentioning that the stairs/ladder to the mezzanine level and terrace are a little steep so might be difficult for families with young children or those with mobility issues.

We stayed on a Saturday and Sunday, and on the first night there was live entertainment at the bar in the square at the end of our street until late (covers of bad soft rock ballads) and we found that quite invasive, even windows closed. I think we were just unlucky, Sunday was really peaceful.

Not much had everything you needed

nicely designed quarters except for stairs to upper bedroom. Clean and comfortable.

Too many stairs to carry bags up. upper loft very difficult to take bags up so we left them in main room. The car and parking situation is rather trying. The shuttle service was very good though. it would be better to leave car at parking immediately and taking the shuttle to hotel but then you must lug your bags on and off bus and then up three flights of stairs. The hostess was very good and helped us with our bags up the steps .
