Great stay in a quiet area near the river with delicious breakfast and charming room

We had a late flight to the city and arrived late - the information on how to get into the building and room was clearly communicated before we arrived, and the documents and keys were clearly labeled. The room was charming and had a balcony overlooking the street, which was great as it was not very busy. The breakfast was lovely, and our hostess was charming and looked after us very well.

Would have loved to have had a kettle in the room.

Comfortable stay in charming area.

The staff was very sweet. The owners were attentive and well prepared for us to come. The garden in the garden area was excellent for our toddler to play in each morning. They were flexible with our schedule and helped us fully enjoy our slow paced vacation.

There was a twisty staircase in our family room that was tricky to manage with our toddler who wanted to climb it, but overall it was great.

Perfect for a short stay for one person (that doesn't require much space).

Great location, cosy small room, good choice for breakfast, lovely view in the winter garden for breakfast. Really fair price. Would book again.

The one thing that is missing is a small bedside table lamp. There is good lighting in the room but it is too bright for cosy reading or during the night.

The breakfasts at La Fonderia Firenze B&B were wonderful, but the bedroom left much to be desired.

The breakfasts were fabulous, much better than we had expected — especially the cappuccino coffee and pastries.

Our room was stuffy and too warm, and faced out on a busy city street, which made the balcony useless, as we had to shutter the door there to keep out the vehicle fumes.

The price is right!

Yummy breakfast (fresh-basked croissants!), great friendly staff, very clean premises, price couldn't be beat. Appreciated that there are fewer crowds on that side of the river.

The tiny upstairs room with a sloped ceiling is not for anyone who is tall! Fortunately I'm short--but still had to bend over to get to some parts of the room. Didn't LOVE hauling my luggage from the train station, but it's doable.

Wonderful host, delicious breakfast, great coffee machine!

incredible welcome and hospitality from the lovely Joan working at this b and b. She was so helpful and kind, giving me tips to make the most of my stay. Delicious breakfast, so varied, wonderful italian coffee available in the machine all day. Good location, easy to walk to most things, along the river. Thanks so much, hope to be back

The common area was nice

Room was not as advertised. It was a closet. Whem expressed my discontent, the owner and clwaning staff began arguing with me. Horrible treatment and decieving advertisement. Dont recommend!

Wonderful Philippine hosts who make you feel so welcome (especially after a day of traveling).

Lovely rooms with lots of care put into making them as comfortable as possible. Impressed with the level of thought put into making our visit as pleasant as possible. Good breakfast with the option to sit outside in a garden or inside too.

Really nice place to stay, would recommend.

Good location, a 20 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. Great room for 2 adults and 2 young adults, each pair having their own bathroom, with lovely fluffy towels. Our host was friendly, efficient and the breakfast had something for all- hot and cold. There were tasty snacks in the shared space and a different cake each day.

The air conditioning struggled in extreme temperatures but so did we all!

Wonderful place to stay for those willing to walk about 15-20 mins to city center!

The room was clean and comfortable, we loved using our balcony, the breakfast was wonderful, and the shared space for breakfast was easy to access and beautiful. Our stay felt quiet and we were able to access the room as soon as we arrived even though we were a little early, which we really appreciated.

Our two young kids were with us and it was a little far for them to walk and also a little hard to navigate the bus system from this location.

Like Alice in Wonderland

This B&B made my trip, for real. I can’t tell you how much I laughed and enjoyed my room - the one with the external bathroom. I never knew I could feel like Alice in Wonderland! I loved that they keep some things like water, coffee or tea 24/7, so you don’t have to worry about that. Breakfast is really good. Staff are the best, indeed.

Clearly is not that I didn’t like it, for sure, but I’m giving this advice to not recommend the room with external bathroom to someone alone with mobility issues because it’s a little bit difficult to get to it - everything else was amazing.

The location was super convenient to almost all attractions within walking distance. We especially like naoji for her service. The b&b serve great breakfast with variety of choices. The parking was just next to the property. We also love our family room that has 2 toilets.

Room was okay for a solo traveler. Small for two people. Mosquitos reduced the amount of time I could spend on the veranda and outside in the lovely garden. Breakfast was average.

Good Place in Florence

Joan was incredibly helpful and welcoming. My room was large and well appointed. It had nice light from large windows. Location is good--close to but not in the centre. Breakfast was plentiful. There is a delightful little garden.

The shower was tricky to operate. Some instructions in the room would have helped.

Worth the money

Location is quite convenient, close to bus stop and one Esselunga The managing lady is super kind and helpful The house has some tour guide books inside for travel reference, which is really considerate The outdoor yard and Christmas decoration is very lovely Overall I enjoyed my stay there

We enjoyed our stay with a welcoming host and a delicious breakfast.

Room was clean. Breakfast was very good. It was a little bit far from city center however it was not bothering since in Florence every where you can explore a hot spot and something to visit. so this 25 minutes walking to the city center was very pleasant.

The room had a sound isolation problem, letting voices from the corridor disrupt the space. Improving acoustic insulation is key to maintaining privacy and focus.

The hotel was so clean, good decorated and comfy. Staff was so kind. Breakfast was enough and in the evening there were some snacks in the mutual area. If I go to Florence again I’ll stay there again.

The staff! They were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had anything we needed. Breakfast was great. The room was clean and the garden was lovely. Very comfortable. It was close to shops, bakeries and restaurants. It was a short walk to all of Florence’s attractions. I would come back when back in Florence.

Perfection on the other side of the Arno!

Everything about La Fonderia was superb! Comfortable, relaxing, charming and perfect service! Jon who manages is a superb hostess and you felt like you've know her and been there before. Close proximity (20) minutes walk to center Florence. But so much more peaceful not a rush of tourist and great restaurants in the area!

Excellent breakfast, a garden and parking right in front

La Fonderia is a small but fantastic B&B. Both the rooms and communal spaces were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, with plenty of options, even for one of us with a milk allergy. There was a lovely garden and our room had a patio attached, where we had our breakfast. Parking was right in front of the place and the historic centre of Florence is within walking distance. The host is super friendly and accommodating, we felt right at home!

Lovely bnb

The room layout is great for families, and it was lovely to have breakfast in the garden. Staff were very attentive and helpful. The room was very large and the mezzanine gave the kids (teens)/adults their own space.

Nothing! We had a car and there is parking at the hotel so the location was perfect for us - an easy stroll into Florence, but quiet so we could get away from the crowds. Other families, especially with very young children, may want to be more central.

Great b&b in Florence

The location is perfect for a 15-20 minutes walk to/from the city centre and its attractions. The bedroom, bed, and bed-linen were all top quality, as were all the fixtures and fittings. The bathroom was also well-equipped. Unobtrusive air conditioning was always available, and the fridge in the room was ideal for keeping drinks and food items cool. We had a room (Rame) at the front overlooking the street and with a balcony and slight river and city views. The 2 sets of double-glazing there was no traffic noise at all. We enjoyed a very generous cold buffet breakfast which we ate in the garden. In addition, tea, coffee, cake and snacks were always available during the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout, and cleaned our room every day - which made it a real pleasure to return to at the end of the afternoon. They were also very welcoming towards our dog. We decided to pay the €20 per day for the private parking - we thoroughly recommend this as it is very nearby, safe, secure, under cover, clean and bright. (On-street parking would cost at least this in parking meter fees.) Finally, we needed to take our dog for the mandatory tapeworm tablet before returning to the UK, and found a super veterinary practice (Clinica Veterinaria Il Marzocco) less than 50m away on the same street - highly recommend. We would be more than happy to return to La Fonderia and would highly recommend to others.

Everything was just perfect!! Short walk to historic centre, but quiet and privat! The staff, sooo nice and helpful!! If we go back to Firenze we would stay here again! Thank you!!
