The room was clean. Car parking. The staff were most affable.
The room had a view of the busy main road and even though there was triple glazing you could hear the traffic through the night! My breakfast was terrible. I wanted smash avocado on sourdough and poached eggs - I got one tiny slice of sourdough, one grilled tomato and two mushroom heads (see photo) shocking breakfast considering I paid £141 for the night with a substantial breakfast (not worth the money).

Not all good Hotel flooded when we got there Not their fault Communication could have been better ? Did stay one night of two Have stayed before and really enjoyed it Thanks to Sarah refunded payment for stay and breakfast
Some staff on arrival ? Not very helpful But to be fair they did have some flooded problems to deal with

Lovely spot by the river. Easy walking distance (15 to 20 mins) along the river to the quay and into town.
Comfortable room with nice outside seating which we would have enjoyed if the weather had been better. Amazing shower. Staff were helpful and friendly. Great Sunday lunch.

Clean room, but very cold on arrival at 4pm as the heating came on later. The complimentary beer was welcome.

Riverside location lovely looking pub and restaurant extremely helpful and friendly staff nothing too much trouble lovely food will definitely return again . Free parking bonus in area
It was an extremely windy wintry wet night and window needs attention as it can rattle when big Lorry’s go past

The staff were friendly and welcoming and the room was very smart and comfortable. The location by the river was lovely although it was either too dark or too misty for me to fully appreciate it during my short stay. The breakfast was also extremely good.
I was slightly wrong-footed by the walk-in shower where a) the shower head was next to the shower cubicle entrance opening and b) there was a doorstop by the cubicle opening on which I stubbed my toe. Also I hadn't realised that the towelling bathmat had been placed inside the shower cubicle so it had a soaking before I spotted it.

The room was lovely, clean and the bed was really comfortable. The Room was warm and we loved the little extras, the lager for hubby and nibbles for myself. Breakfast was hot and delicious.
Nothing comes to mind, we were both more than happy with our stay.

We had a great stay at the Mill on the Exe. We had a room which overlooked the river. There had been a lot of rain prior to our stay so the river was in full spate and we enjoyed watching it. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Whoever looked after the room should be congratulated as it was absolutely spotlessly clean and extremely well maintained. It was also great to have the option of a bath.
There were good gluten-free options for both dinner and breakfast, and the food was delicious.
There was nothing we didn’t like, but the service was a little slow when we first went down to dinner, although the inn was not greatly busy. We began to worry that we would miss our show at the theatre. The service was better after a change of shift and our new waitress looked after us well.
We would also suggest an extra chair in our room so we could both sit by the window and watch the river.

We chose the property for its location and that parking was offered. We arrived close to our dinner reservation due to traffic, staff were very accommodating and got us checked in without any issue, and we even got to park the car closer to the room. Room was lovely and snug, views of the river, and a lovely shower room. Food at the restaurant was lovely, Ophelia looked after us at dinner, food was tasty. Best chips we have had in a long time. Slept well on both nights, shower blew us away with the pressure, in a good way, breakfast was lovely on both days. But what made the stay was the staff, from front of house to house keeping, you could tell it was a well loved establishment. Would love to come back again, excellent location if you want to visit Exeter and coming by car.

Nice setting, Very nice looking building and felt clean and had a lovely vibe.
Not overly clear where to go to sign in if staying for the night from the outside. The egg was not cooked enough as raw yolk.

Location was perfect on the Exe River quiet location very close to town
Staff very relaxed and friendly reception always interested and helpful Jane Tigan etc all very good quality staff throughout
Food is excellent particularly the breakfast has to be the best we’ve ever had
All meals take a little while to arrive but when they do they’re well worth the wait
Super fresh really tasty and great portions
This will be our new bolt hole for sure and highly recommend
Only minor issues like shower in room 11 drips so they leave a towel on the floor as it’s wet room but very nicely decorated
Bed a little soft for us but that’s not picking

We stayed in one of the rooms with a river view for two nights - it was fabulous! The bay window in the room overlooks the river and there are two high back chairs to sit at in the window and watch the world go by - absolutely perfect! The decor in the room was so lovely and it felt more like a small apartment. The bed was extremely comfortable with crisp white bedding. Lots of space in the room and storage for clothes. The rooms are accessed through the pub itself or there is separate entrance for guests. We ate at the pub one evening and the food was really good. The staff were ll really friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Quiet room despite the busy location. Our room was spacious and had a lovely terrace and view.
The staff should have offered to help getting our bags to the room— we are obviously elderly and the stairs down were scary-steep

Breakfast was brilliant, lots of choice.
The milk in our mini bar in our room for teas/coffees etc had gone off, however a quick word with a lovely staff member and we had fresh milk given to us without any problem!
