Helpful hosts and a happy house!

Fantastic house, set in beautiful landscapes, clean and already heated hot tub. The hosts were particularly helpful returning our travel cot to us after we left it in the house, driving it over 100 miles! Would definitely return.

The location of this property was amazing! Everything felt so easy to travel to including, shops, lakes and a range of activities. The views from the back of the house were stunning and had a very good hot tub to enjoy them in! The property felt very homely and had everything you'd need for a longer stay. A real home from home!

A perfect location for a beautiful winter break!

The property is in an absolutely beautiful location, and only a 5 minute drive from Aviemore. The log fire in the sitting room was lovely and warm, and took extra chill out of the December air!

Great house, great location - Poor admin experience and leaving processes

The views all around the house was amazing. Especially from the back garden that had a mountain view and beautiful Highland cows grazing in the garden. The location was perfect for us, quiet yet easy access to the town. They left a lovely bottle of wine The hot tube was awesome

1. The beds, only half number of beds had bedsheets which i assume was because we were a small party but if you pay for use of the whole house, my view is that the whole house should be functionable. 2. The admin was confusing and disappointing. On the website it stated you had to pay a deposit for breakage and damage which makes sense. Then this changed to a 'housekeeping deposit' where i was told to leave the house in the condition i found it and i had to tidy up, clean the kitchen and hoover upon leaving. When i asked for clarification on what all the tidying up requirements I was told they 'have never needed to so precise' and they didn't 'think we should try'. It was made it clear that I could cancel if i was unhappy. As this conversation took place the day before travelling i had no option but to pay the housekeeping deposit. The problem was, I wanted a break and did not want to worry about tidying up so i never really felt comfortable in the home. Hardly used the front room as i didn't want to worry about messing it up. The instructions on leaving were too much and included: - ensuring the duvet covers were put in the bags provided, the right way around, folded and not crushed - bottled in the recycling bins in Tesco - emptying dustbins - separating and recycling rubbish in appropriate bins 3. I was sent the wrong address he day before arrival - 5 Bridge End, Ripponden, Sowerby Bridge, HX6 4DF' 4. I had to follow up twice for my deposit to be paid back. The second time came with an apology claiming they had transposed a couple of digits.

Location, hot tub, space, number of rooms. Only 4 of us stayed at the house but we were able to invite family around for the day and had lots of space to move around.

Hot water went off twice but Grahame was very quick to respond and it didn't impact at all.
