The location is fantastic, made even more magical after the snowfall. Though it came with its challenges as the last 0.5mile stretch of the road to the property became a bit too much to handle for my humble car. Thankfully, the owner picked us up in his 4x4 and likewise for a few other fellow lodgers. There is something atavistic about a gently roaring wood-fire pit under the blanket of starry night sky.
One of our favourites in Perthshire. We'll be back soon in the summer.

Everything we needed was there. Excellent communication from the owners. We’re met on arrival and shown around. Place was spotlessly clean. Warm and cosy inside the pods thanks to the owners putting the heaters on for us arriving. Beautiful scenery and we were lucky enough to wake up to a herd of wild deer right outside

Good disabled facilities, nice warm pods, good parking. Gemma was a delight, the view was amazing and the hiking paths nearby were great.

Almost everything. A beautiful location on a hillside with an amazing view. Clean, smart, spacious, well lit and well heated.
Due to the size of the site and the location you had to drive a few miles for a cafe or restaurant. But really nothing to dislike.

This place is awesome! You wake up and can enjoy an incredible view right from lying on your bed.
The host is very friendly and welcoming. If you want to you can get a pillow and blanket (in case you don't have your sleeping bag) or firewood. You can use a kitchen with a microwave and a fridge, the toilet and shower is a minute away. It's simple, not super modern or luxurious, but everything is clean and fine.
If you want to go to the next village you'll need about 15 Minutes by car. You'll need 15 minutes as well to get to the parking lot of the Nationalpark.
If you want to stay somewhere where you can enjoy an incredible, unique view: Book it!

Loved the location and could come and go as we pleased. Views were something else. Amenities on site were clean and kept to a high standard.
Not really anything we didn’t like other than beds weren’t the comfiest but ok for our 2 night stay.

Our family of four had a lovely one-night stay at Kennacoil, breaking up our journey between Yorkshire and Dornoch in the north east of Scotland. We were welcomed by a super friendly Gemma, who explained everything we needed to know. The best bit was the location itself with stunning views and the sighting and sounds of deer on the hillside, as well as the coziness of the family-sized pod. Great toilets and showers, and handy, clean basic facilities in the utilities area - for cooking 'proper' we could have lit the firepit, but for ease we had brought ready meals for the microwave. All in all, a lovely stay and we'd love to return. Nearby Killicrankie also well worth a visit!
The mattresses are what you'd expect from a glamping pod - fairly hard, but I found it comfier than sleeping on a camping mattress on the ground in a tent!

The owners of the location are very friendly. Our pod was clean and provided enough room for 2 people. The pod had heating. Moreover, we requested wood to light up some fire and the owners arranged this with no problem. The final touch was Jack, who is the best of hosts!
Toilets being a bit far from the pod but not a major issue.

Lovely place. Set in beautiful surroundings. Nice well kept communal areas.
Lots of places to visit in the surrounding area.
Liked everything. I would recommend this place to family and friends. But would also suggest they book directly with site

We had a wonderful stay here! The pod was spotless and very comfortable, and the facilities were clearly well-maintained and kept clean. I really appreciated the thoughtfulness of having separate bins for recycling—it shows great care for the environment. The owners were absolutely fantastic: super friendly, always helpful, and very quick to respond to any messages, which made everything smooth and stress-free. On top of that, the location is stunning, with a beautiful landmark nearby that made the stay even more memorable. Highly recommend!
In the kitchen, there was a leaflet mentioning that tap water in Scotland is generally safe to drink, but that guests should still check with the property owners. I think it would be easier and more reassuring if there was simply a clear note left saying whether the tap water here is safe to drink or not.

The location is spectacular with nature literally right at your doorstep. Getting woken up by a pheasant on the roof of your pod at 5.30 was annoying but special at the same time. I sat with the door open with a cup of tea watching him watching me until he got bored and wandered off. The pod and the showers/bathrooms were spotlessly clean. Didn't really use the kitchen except to boil water, but that was clean too. Gemma was really kind letting me use the shower after I got a bit lost on an overly ambitious mountain bike ride and got back just minutes before the 11am check-out time. Thank you! It's a pity it was only for a one night stop off....next year I will spend more time here.
Nothing really, but a small folding table/chair would have been nice to sit at inside the pod. Also, some "emergency" wifi in the kitchen area would have been very useful to let me plan the aforementioned bike properly.

The lovely welcome from Gemma the host.
We expected the pods to be larger than they are. You get a rubber mattress on the floor and we paid for linen which was a sleeping bag...

Brilliant pod in a beautiful spot with handy toilets and facilities nearby.
The blind on top bunk was faulty, the terrace area could do with a power wash and there is some staining on the double mattress.

The views are breathtaking. Beautiful setting, Individual pods, own fire pit plus a communal one.
Showers/toilets very clean
Owner lovely and friendly
The experience added to our travel adventure
As I had misread the booking, I wasn't expecting it to be very basic glamping, with mattress on the floor.
As the other pods were empty the owner could have asked if we wanted to upgrade to one with beds, we could have asked too.
No facilities to make a hot drink.
5 people in the Pod would be cramped.

All the facilities worked well, the place was beautifully positioned and it was very peaceful, with swifts and swallows circling in front of our view. It is right on the doorstep of some great walks.
There was nothing I did not like. If I was being picky, then I would suggest a couple of extra pillows in the cupboards for those guests who need them.

Late check-in available and truly welcoming host. Very nice scenery. Available warm sleeping bags and pillows Independant quiet wigwam. Clean and functioning shared showers and toilet down the slope.
Small back window didn't have blinds, which we had to makeshift ourselves given the Scottish summer nights are bright as day. The hosts indicated they were aware of this issue and were studying how to remedy it.

The area was beautiful. The pod was warm and there were heating facilities. It felt cosy.. charging points and plug points were available in the pods.
The pod was much smaller than ones I've been in before. The design was lovely but there was a fold up plastic mat for the bed which was uncomfortable. In the past I've had tea and coffee making facilities. These were communal. I didn't feel there was any privacy.

Good basic facilities for glamping. Pod has USB ports and sockets for electrical gadgets. Wide vinyl covered bolsters provided as a good mattress to have under sleeping bags. Lovely hot showers. Utility / kitchen area large enough to prepare food with microwave, toaster and kettle, plus large communal fridge. Loved wildlife spotting from the picnic bench outside the pod --- lots of mammals and birds to be seen.

What a gem! Location is just outside of Dunkeld, so quiet and peaceful. Check in was thorough and the pods were gorgeous. I have stayed in a few of these kinds of places and what I loved in particular was that Kennacoil is relaxed, no long lists of rules, you really are made to feel welcome and at home. Everything you need (wood, bedding etc) can be provided if you want it and the facilities are gorgeous.
Generally absolutely nothing, I had forgotten my camping stove and it would have been great to have a wee stove in the kitchen for my coffee in the morning... There is a kettle but I am a coffee snob that travels round with a Moka pot so my fault really!!

Beautiful setting, ablutions to a very high standard. Friendly and helpful host.
A little restrictive having 6 couples share 1 microwave when it is raining.

Everything, easy to find. This is the perfect escape. We stayed in a pod and it was spacious and clean. We were quite far from the other pods. This place has amazing facilities also, I wish we’d done more research before, there’s a fridge and microwave onsite. Loved the peace and quiet. This is a beautiful place.
