Breakfast was great and the location of the hotel was ideal for accessing Ubud central with their free shuttle. Roof top bar had superb views and is perfect for the afternoon sundowner. Free parking a bonus !

Family rooms are on level 5 and such don’t have any view (you actually just look at a wall) or balcony so its a little dark. With only one main restaurant you need to explore outside to get variety of foods. Pools didn’t really have that much shade and the unbrellas were good however their experience with the winds meant they just close them all the time when the slightest wind blows … need a better option !

The best hotel in Ubud❤️

Everything!The pool, the buffet breakfast, the housekeeping service, the receptionist and the manager. All staff gave their 100% and we were looked after. They even gave me a Birthday surprise. Thank you for our memorable and lovely stay.The activities in the hotel especially the yoga is a must. Hoping we can come back here again,

We loved being at STHALA Ubud. It’s a conveniently located beautiful resort.

The location was beautiful and close to many of the attractions like ATV, Monkey park etc. Restaurant and servers, staff were awesome and super helpful. We would especially like to mention two names whose hospitality really left a mark Duwi and Vini.

We had two rooms of which one was a family room. The toilet is completely see through and the washroom doors don’t lock… which for us is quite problematic with kids.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sthala, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Ubud, and the experience was simply outstanding. 1 Breathtaking natural views—felt like a peaceful sanctuary perfectly blending luxury with authentic Balinese charm. 2. Fantastic Breakfast Experience 3. Exceptional service and wonderful Staff - A special shout‑out to Adi in particular 4. ⁠About the Property Sthala’s peaceful location, scenic surroundings, and thoughtful amenities such as a rooftop bar, river‑view infinity pool, and complimentary shuttle to Ubud made it a serene and convenient base for exploring the area

Overall decent stay!

Staff was the highlight for the hotel, very friendly, accomodating and helpful. My initial room had some strange smell which didnt go till next morning, location of this room was close to street which made sleeping impossible. Next day after i raised the concern it was promptly changed to inside facing room. Daily activities were good.

Strong damp smell and noise in first room, saw fringed towels few times, room service tray had small ants. I didnt raise most of these concerns except the room issue. Located far from the main Ubud town though there is shuttle service but traffic caused long delays on few occasions. No other activities near to hotel and only mode of transport was cars or hotel shuttles.

Amazing property in the heart of Ubud, central yet upscale and quiet!

Fantastic experience, service and location. It is in Ubud but just outside the noise and within easy reach. Grab is very handy to call. The bar on 7th floor is fantastic and relaxing with excellent menu.

Worst Check-In Experience & Not a 5-Star by Any Means

Our recent stay at Sthala, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel does not live up to its 5-star rating. Check-in was a nightmare — disorganized, slow, and to make matters worse, we were double charged for extra guests even after clearly explaining the situation. What’s worse is that they seemed fully aware of it but still went ahead with the double billing. The rooms are congested, lack privacy, and are far from the comfortable stay you’d expect from a premium property. There was no lock on the bathroom doors, which is simply unacceptable, especially for families or groups. To top it off, one of our rooms had a “special guest” – possibly a rat or a lizard, which made for a completely sleepless night. Disgusting and horrifying. While the property is surrounded by greenery, it’s poorly maintained and adds no value to the overall experience. The environment feels more neglected than serene. Frankly, this hotel is not suited for families or large groups. It fails to deliver on the basics of comfort, cleanliness, and value.

The only saving grace was the restaurant and service staff, who were warm and welcoming with a smile every time — but unfortunately, a smile doesn’t fix terrible infrastructure, poor room conditions, or a bad night’s sleep.

The best in ubud

I love the room, so comfortable, very nice amazing staff, yummy breakfast, the hotel offers free shuttle to the center, also they offered nice free classes, i attended the morning walk tour, Balinese conversation class (with the amazing Made) and a yoga class. All of the are amazing.

Clean hotel, outstanding service and level of professionalism, great pools and very nice rooms. Our trip took some unexpected turne anr forced us to book 2 more nights for 6 people and 4 rooms. The staff has done a phenomenal effort to get this to work in short notice while being in a very busy season.

Not a lot to mention here, the food in the restaurants was amazing but the food around the pool was mediocre which sometimes felt like a waste of money.

Multiple Staff with the same question will keep annoying you by asking what is your plan for today, how long will you stay in Ubud specially when you are doing breakfast. You need that space without someone interrupt you again and again. Shuttle to ubud central is having limited occupancy(10) with such big hotel and on request they do not run extra shuttle. Hence you may have to arrange a taxi and pay extra for that.

Everything was perfect. Front desk staffs was amazing gave us early checkin and late checkout as-well. From the rooms to food to service was great. Food was delicious, Service staffs was great aswel they checked if food was good in between each course. They do have plenty of free activity that you can participate.

This is a very special place to stay. The staff in the lobby and restaurant are absolutely exceptional and kind! It felt like home during my 15 day stay! The breakfast was delicious and very accommodating for my vegan requests.
