The perfect place to relax and unwind

Beautiful property - very luscious and the grounds were well kept. The main pool looked great to lounge around and swim in, but due to construction we were sadly unable to. The massage spa was exceptional and very good value for money. The room was clean and very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Only downside for our stay was that the property was under construction and so we couldn’t use the main pool and it was quite noisy during the day. However, this is not a permanent problem. The breakfast was a bit average in our opinion too.

Three days in paradise

The whole property is beautiful and the staff are amazing - looked after out every need. Very friendly. Loved the morning yoga sessions and the Balinese night. Food options are brilliant and of a high quality. The afternoon tea is also a nice touch.

Great hotel in good location

The hotel is very beautiful and we had a very relaxing couple the days here. We had a 2 bedroom suite with private pool, it was beautiful inside but unfortunately a huge building site next door was disappointing (I am sure for the hotel too). The bedrooms etc though were amazing. We didn't have sunbed sin eth suite which surprised us but the hotel did bring some in for us. The breakfast was good and the location good too.

neighbouring building site is too big and highly damaging to the hotel setting although doesn't impact eth main pool area.

Brilliant, chilled and will be back!

The property was clean, we booked around 2 hours before arrival and everything was ready for us. We had an amazing bbq and Balinese dancer night. The whole hotel was chilled and quiet. The spa was beautiful and the therapists brilliant and professional. We loved the restaurant and the food, the view over the main pool was spectacular.

If I had to be picky it would be the floor boards around the pool at the room were a bit loose and in need of repair, but we just watched our step around them.

Amazing visit and would return for some more R&R

Very relaxing atmosphere. Scenery and grounds gorgeous. Had a traditional feel, loved all the flowers and blessings around the resort. The staff here are so friendly and helpful and generally lovely people. Love the different breakfast options. Our room was great and meet our expectation Had an amazing guided walking tour of the area with one of the drivers Budi. I really enjoyed this as Budi was very knowledgeable and a great guy.

Shower water pressure Construction next door but not too bad. Staff apologised and advised of this straight away on arrival. Was still able to relax beside the pool and was able to block it out. Construction generally started after 8am I think. We could not hear it from our room

This hotel has potential, 1 or 2 nights here is enough

The pool is great, the hotel location is also good. The breakfast was ok, there wasn't much choice but delicious. The place is nice and you can relax.

The rooms definitely need to be renovated. You can smell the damp all the time, even on the sheets. The air conditioning was directed towards the bed so you couldn't have it on because it was windy when you were sleeping.

Beautiful gardens and the friendly staff

The facilities seem a bit outdated. The bathroom towels were old and worn out (needs replacing). There is a construction site next door to Sankara and the noise was constant even throughout the evening. I was walking to my room one day and some workers were sitting one the roof being constructed and they whistled and called at me. I felt extremely uncomfortable. I did report this to the staff.

From the moment I arrived, the lush greenery and serene atmosphere made me feel instantly relaxed. The Room My room was a beautiful blend of traditional Balinese design and modern comfort. The spacious layout, comfortable bed, and open-air bathroom with a marble bathtub created a tranquil retreat. Waking up to the sounds of nature and the view of the surrounding gardens was a highlight each morning. The Pool The resort's infinity pool is a standout feature. Surrounded by palm trees and overlooking the lush landscape, it was the perfect spot to unwind. Breakfast Each morning, I looked forward to the complimentary breakfast. The variety of delicious options, from fresh tropical fruits to traditional Balinese dishes, ensured a delightful start to the day. The meals were beautifully presented and catered to different tastes. The Staff The staff was exceptional—always attentive, friendly, and eager to assist with any requests. Their genuine hospitality enhanced the overall experience and made my stay even more enjoyable. Location Situated just a short drive from central Ubud. Good hotel, shame about the current facilities and constructiom

Comfortable and beautifully designed spacious rooms,.nice rice fields within the hotel grounds.

Behaviour of some of the staff, lots of trainees at the restaurant not understanding English and breakfast orders. No Yoga classes due to instructor sickness, very poor for a large company like Pramana not to have a replacement. Located in a busy little area away from town. Construction one side, the other a day club. And not informed us about their current constraction next door, no apology from the staff upon arrival. Very noisy around the pool due to this, not relaxing at all and disappointing. The Sankara certainly is not the usual Pramana standard as others. Shuttle service was good and nice spa.

Disgusting and we left as soon as possible

Review: I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. We paid €650 for three nights, expecting at least a decent level of cleanliness and comfort. However, what we encountered was absolutely unacceptable. As soon as we entered the room, we were shocked to find dead bedbugs on the beds, which was beyond disgusting. The entire room had a horrible smell, and the towels were extremely overused, looking dirty and unhygienic. The furniture and equipment were old, faded, and poorly maintained, making the whole place feel neglected. As soon as we saw the condition of the room, we left immediately and requested a full refund. However, the hotel only refunded 50% of the amount we paid, which was completely unfair given the state of the accommodation. For the price we paid, this was a complete rip-off. I would never stay here again and strongly advise others to avoid this hotel at all costs.

Pleasant stay

Great location not far from the main road in Ubud with a shuttle service running up and down. Room was beautiful.

Construction right next door to the property which made it not as relaxing as expected. Sun beds at the pool had no cushions on and were not very comfortable. Pool bar was closed. Private swimming pool was exposed to people walking past and the rooms on the opposite side, so not very private.

Stunning stay in our Balinese pool villa suite!

Wow this hotel really exceeded expectations, from the moment we arrived the service was the most outstanding thing about the stay. Nothing was too much trouble and our pool villa suite was amazing! Really take your breath away first impression. We unfortunately didn’t get time to use the spa but really wish we did. Our room was that amazing that there was little need to really use any of the other facilities. It was very well decorated in authentic Balinese style

Not a fault of the hotel but we were a little further away from Ubud centre than I had originally thought and getting a taxi was not easy and also because of the crazy traffic a 10 min journey was more like 20/25 so bear that in mind. The team always saved us in the end by getting a car to us as soon as possible if we were stuck. Some building work going on right next door meant lazing by the pool wasn’t always as relaxing as hoped but wasn’t something we let ruin our stay

wonderful resort with amazing staff, rooms & pool

the rooms are beautiful, the pool magnificent and the restaurant is very good. the staff will assist you at any time, and the driver Budi took me to the temple, waterfalls and paddy fields explaining Balinese culture. it is a bit further from Ubud town but they have an hourly shuttle to and from the resort so no scooter needed as such. Next time I’ll definitely go there again!

Worth a visit!

Beautiful resort and the villa we stayed in was exceptional with lovely pool. Room service menu was great with lots of choices and orders were delivered promptly. Enjoyed our stay here and would return for a 2nd visit.

Breakfast could have had a few more choices. If you were staying more than a few days you would be eating the same things.

Hidden treasure !

The warm welcome and the friendliness of staff was outstanding.. We felt welcomed and staff were always happy to oblige and help in any way. Food was excellent and so well presented and tasty. We were reluctant to eat elsewhere in case of a duff meal ..always cooked to order. The bedrooms were beautiful too.

Only that the sunbeds were a little tired and the covers needed replacing (perhaps due to exposure to all those downpours !) as could the pool towels ..
