Brilliant hotel let down by access.

The hotel was central and very clean and the staff were very friendly. Rooms were big and beds comfy food was very nice. Would highly recommend this hotel.

After booking non refundable room I found out about the hotel being about 20 yards inside the low emission zone. Meaning if your car does not qualify for free entry to hotel you then have a £60 entry fee £30 if paid within 14 days you then also have to pay £10 a day to park your car at the hotel you booked your room. We have two Eco friendly cars but none of them qualified for free entry. This is a huge put off when it's on top of your room stay. Please check your number plate before booking.

I changed my entire trip- we are now staying at Hampton chain.

This chain has to be the BEST Hilton sneaky I have found. This is just Hilton standard. If you appreciate that. Then you have found your tribe and you are home. The room size and proportions are en pointe. EXCEPTIONAL. I slept like the dead last night. Thank GOD we extended our stay here. Its simple elegance. Thank you Hampton by Hilton. Thank. You x The bathroom, beautiful, practical! And so well appointed. The TV and desk- I can work here all day. Great bedding and bed. And the entry is tiled so its like a mud room for the snow. Its truly the perfect room. And the decor is not gaudy or “trendy” - it comfortable and ya get a foot stool! Convenient undercover paid parking at £10 a day. Its just, no nonsense, reliable accommodation. Its the best value for money I reckon world over.

Ok the view of Lidl is fugly- even in the snow. But, the drapes to block it out are lux and look great shut. A couple of coat and hat hooks at the entry would be the penultimate addition. Am a simple girl.

I liked the friendly staff. They were helpful and polite. I’d give a 10 star except there were rude customers across from us who caused noise through the night. The staff were great with dealing with it!

Recommended for a city break

Fancied a random night away, seen the price and grabbed it (obviously cheaper for a Monday) and having stayed here previously for a celebration we knew what to expect. Staff are great and it's the perfect location for a trip to the city. Will certainly be back.

Perfect for our needs

The location was perfect for our requirements. Everything we had planned was within a 15 minute drive or taxi ride. Breakfast was great everything you needed to start the day.

Our only gripe, was the fact that there is a live music venue across the road and the noise and bass from the sound system went on until around 3am and it’s quite loud in the room we had. That said there is t much the hotel can do about it so just try to get some sleep?

It was ok. Glad we didn't do more than 1 night.

The staff were really lovely.

The room was small and the sofa bed was uncomfortable. The breakfast was awful. No vegetarian options with the cooked breakfast, the waffle maker just produced burnt crumbs, the selection of fresh fruit was limited. We've stayed in Hampton by Hiltons before and the breakfast has been great but this one was very disappointing. Also, we sat in the bar in the evening and despite seeing many lamps around the bar they weren't on, and sitting under the bright overhead lights made for a terrible atmosphere so we left early.

Relaxed check in comfortable reception area, plenty space for sitting relaxing etc, room clean tidy lovely bed linen bed comfy, TV a bit small but I'm being really picky there. Hotel clean throughout very big choice at breakfast with quality ingredients couldn't fault anything a really positive overnight stay and if in Dundee for anything else will definitely re book. Also all staff very welcoming and very efficient at what they do/provide.
