No receptionist

Nobody on reception you have to phone them in and 1 of the numbers isn't recognised and you have to wait until someone comes to get you registered bad if you don't have mobile phone on you or your charge is out not good

Room cold but heater worked main light was broken both nights so obviously not checked bathroom lino coming away from the wall needs to be repaired apart from that everything else was ok

Location was good

Not clean, locks on windows didn’t work in one room and other room the window was broken and wouldn’t open at all. Member of staff on reception clearly didn’t want to be there abs we felt like an inconvenience. Would not stay here again

The carpets were stained everywhere. The bathmat was stained. The communal areas had an unpleasant smell. I was not told the key to my room was also the key to the front door. I had to contact someone by telephone to be told this on my return to the hotel late at night when I was alone. The person on the telephone was rude.

There are many more hotels in Dundee that are clean I would not recommend this hotel

The staff were very helpful and welcoming, the location is very good but the hotel is very tired and dirty. The carpet in the room was so stained and dirty I bought a pair of slippers to wear. The bathroom was not as clean as it could be. Doors are locked in the evening with no staff on duty overnight. I paid over £80 for a one night mid week stay - way overpriced for the hotel, which looked more like a hostel.

The room was tired and dirty, The bathroom was grimy, bedroom carpet so stained and dirty I bought slippers to wear. Hotel looks more like a hostel - and I am unsure if it used as a hostel or not. No breakfast available. A basic hotel and I would not return even for an overnight

Location was fine, price exceptional and ease of inital booking good.

When I got there reception wasn't sure she had two rooms even though booked months ago. So I guess I got the only room left. Room I had smelled badly of damp. Bed base wasn't in great shape with upholstery torn and wood showing. Carpet was beyond saving. Damp, moulded, stained and very unpleasant.

Place was dirty. No hooks in bathroom to hang towels and clothes. Staff came to unblock our sink and used a clothe hanger to do it and threw the hanger on top of the wardrobe, Next guest possibly will use this! Disgusting

The mold, the spiders, the dirt, the noise, the fact that every single room has the SAME key!!! Anybody could get into your room at night!! On my bed was a set of complimentary ear buds for the noise! Don't stay here! Your car or van is definitely a better option!

Dirty room

We booked in with 2 dogs. Tge standard of room was not what I expected the carpet can only be described as disgusting the carpet had brown stains all around the room clearly where dogs had 'weed', and all over the carpet were stains. As a responsible dog owner, when I stay in a hotel, I take kitchen towel roll, clothes, carpet cleaner just in case my dog has an acciden. We had 2 dogs and were charged £10 per dog to cover cleaning which in my opinion clearly rooms are not cleaned properly

Staff weren't helpful . Staff tried to enter the room whilst we were in bed early doors when check out wasn't until later on . The hotel smelt rotten of dog food . The bath has a bit of vinyl stuck to the bottom of it instead of a bath mat

Handy for what we needed.

We only used this hotel as a place to sleep after a festival in Dundee. Have stayed before, when it was called something different and do feel that it has gone downhill since then, but was cheap and cheerful.

Couldn't rate staff, as never saw anyone, however they messaged with details of how to get in to hotel.

Everything a little tired mould around the bath etc but we weren’t paying ritz prices so I suppose you can’t expect ritz service. Tried to call/ email to alter the booking and got zero response. Had to check the place existed to even be sure it wasn’t a gigantic scam

Good value basic accommodation

After reading mostly poor reviews we were apprehensive about our stay, however for 60 quid you can't expect the Ritz. Outside is not that appealing but reception was clean and tidy albeit a bit tired, the receptionist was kindly and helpful at check in. Our room again a bit tired looking was clean and fresh with an open window on a nice sunny day. The toilet was also clean and as advised by the receptionist only had one towel but more were due from the cleaners and would be taken to our room later. We almost immediately left for a function but on our return, fresh towels were in place, The room was quiet and the bed comfortable All in all if you want a cheap no frills place for the night you can't go far wrong here and we wouldn't hesitate to return

Booking.Com Go2 Camperdown Hotel Disaster.

It was quiet.

The toilet bowl leaked water, bathroom floor wet. Toilet seat loose. Carpet looked bleached. Door handle loose. There was no one at reception at 11pm to check me in. Reception closes at 11pm. Who knew? There was no phone number on the outside of the building to contact. I wasted over half an hour with a locked out drunk in his stocking soles trying to get in. No one had responded to the door buzzer. The phone number on Booking.com is an old defunct former Ibis Hotel contact number. Can't get booking.com without booking number and lost booking.com app dialogue when I looked up my booking - useless. I was furious. This was my worst hotel experience. Booking.com made it worse as I got fed up trying to jump through hoops and get past your gatekeeper bot, only to return to square one when looking up the booking. I wanted as early a night as I could get before the 80s Calling festival. In the end the drunk guy knocked on ground floor windows and surprisingly, a resident came to the front door and let us in. There were numbers on the card notice sitting on reception - the defunct Ibis number and a mobile number. The guy arrived. He said he had emailed details of how to get in and get the key. I had been driving for 2.5hrs and was focused on getting into the hotel, not catching up with my email. Truly awful experience.

Staff amazing the stay was plesent unfortunate there was no fan as windows had child locks on and didnt open far...thing that let it down was just gentral cleaning with only females in the room evidently the toilet wasn't properly cleaned there was no shower gel hand wash ext like it states the bottle was there but empty . This is why I always bring my own anyway, the dust build up on the toilet roll holder was thick and being asthmatic it is concerning but didn't effect us as don't suffer too bad with it but someone else it would trigger . I believe this is the cleaner more so but the rooms need checking after cleans more often as this was the only real let down
