Poor Manager but rest of staff were lovely and room was comfortable.

Room was fine. Prices were reasonable for everything.

Manager and our booked request was not accommodated to. We were made to feel unwelcome and it was not just ourselves. No one to greet us on the first morning for breakfast, it ended up Kitchen staff helping out who were lovely. Manager was on breakfast duties next morning and had no up and go about her. No uniform worn and what was worn was not for work.

Fabulous location & Ideal for local pub,restaurants & shops

Parking was a bit of a hit & miss although I got lucky getting parked . But it’s a very busy street & spaces are at a premium. Restaurant was good although they gave our reserved table away , claimed a mix up by staff ,followed by the menu not having the items advertised ,again another mix up apparently. Ordered. Sirloin steak medium rare came back well done ,oops another mix up , overall good service just need to concentrate on delivery to order . Room 6 was a bit cramped for 2people but served the purpose & was comfortable enough .

Friendly staff very attentive, great breakfast and a great position in the locale for a good base to explore. Perfectly clean.

Shower seems blocked feels like it could flood, bed was like a brick and couldn't close blinds in room. Quite a lot of noise in hotel with access to service rooms being banged early and late.

Cosy place to stay with good food and drinks available, when walking the Angus Coastal Path.

Friendly and professional hospitality team who provided a warm and informative welcome, sorted out a dinner table on a busy Saturday night, and served at Breakfast on Sunday morning. We are real ale drinkers and so we were delighted with the Bar offering.

Great place for short break.

Central, cosy with everything we needed. Breakfast on first morning was lovely.

Breakfast day 2 was let down. Booked for 9am but they had unforseen customers so didn't get order taken for half hour then waited another half hour before served. Apart from egg it was solid, burnt (bacon) & potato scone had obviously been put in toaster. So let down after day 1 which was lovely. Obviously overwhelmed due to large party who hadn't booked. Know this as waiter told us they hadn't expected them.

pub is good dinner was ok , but won’t stay there on my next visit to broughty ferry

breakfast service was poor first day half the items were missing from my breakfast they did bring everything on another plate reasonably quickly, second day waited nearly an hour for breakfast not even given tea while we were waiting had to ask again for tea when the breakfast came ,looked like they were understaffed on the sunday morning we were just about to leave and buy breakfast at a local cafe then the breakfast came beans were in a small pot that had just been taken out the fridge were stone cold just eat some of the breakfast didn’t complain as there was only one young girl serving and was rushing about .

breakfast and issues with key card not working on the door for everyone on the sunday morning told this happens a lot like people out at 10:30 this was at 10:20 checkout was 11am card reissued for everyone but no apology, lacking customer service

Comfortable clean room Good location close to town centre and waterfront. Lovely staff We had an evening meal which was great We were in the area for a concert nearby, used local taxis which were reliable.

We were woken at 3am with noisy drunk guests passing our room- not the hotels doing.

Rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped with everything you need. Even had an iron & ironing board. Beds and pillows are super comfy with high quality bedding. Fantastic location for either wander along the water edge or through the town. Very pretty.

Amazing location, tavern and staff!

The tavern provided fantastic dinner and breakfast, the staff were friendly and helpful (the chap who cooked our breakfast was brilliant!). Location awesome.

Our only little gripe would be the twin beds were a little lumpy and leaning on one side, they probably need replacing.

Noise from guests jumping around upstairs but also noise from the kitchen directly below us with loud staff and noisy appliances. We possibly had the loudest room in the building.

I really lived it. If I were picky I’d say, a tissue dispenser would be useful, relocate the full length mirror, and a wipe down of the bathroom door. But I thought it was really good value and really enjoyed our stay.

"The Fish" is a prize catch 👌🏼

"The Fish" as it's fondly referred to by locals is an absolute wee treasure of a place. Exceptionally good value for money, fabulous breakfast, comfy bed, wonderfully friendly staff and clearly loved by locals and visitors alike given the vibrant, welcoming and cosy atmosphere in the bar / lounge. 100% will be staying here again.
