Broughty Ferry overnight trip

Clean, restaurant and bar area nice, food very good especially evening meal. Pool area quiet and well maintained. Room clean and comfortable. Hotel in good area

Room quite cold, however staff gave me a heater so this wasn't an issue. Shower not great power and water not hot enough, old hotel so not surprised

The pillows were hard and uncomfortable and the room must have been next to a pump of some sort as it hummed loudly all night.

Location & parking good, lovely gardens & good external appearance! Some staff good especially bar lady who was very professional ! Some restaurant staff okay.

Room poor ,no drawers for clothes ,very spacious,but few surfaces ! Bed good but poor pillows! Shower awful ,controls difficult to move & bath water running at same time as shower,hot water in basin dangerously hot ! Reception staff very poor,after 10 emails pre visit,didn’t have the details that we wanted upgraded room & breakfasts both days ! They didn’t apologise for getting it so wrong.when we settled the bill,couldn’t have cared less & didn’t offer receipt ! Breakfasts okay,but cutlery & napkins could have been from a cafe!

Good breakfast and good beer. Staff were very pleasant

Room was pretty smelly on arrival. Asked for an air freshener to be left in the room as we checked in and in a rush to get out. Arrived back at night and as smelly as when we left with no air freshener. No plugs next to the beds, all were across the other side of the room which is a bit weird in this day and age.

The fee for use of the pool was expensive at £7.50 per person per day. The pool facilities were, however, very good.

Cleanliness of hotel excellent, friendly and helpful staff, location was great, breakfast was delicious and there was plenty to choose from.

Only down side for us was having to pay an additional charge of £7.50 each to use pool facilities.

Very dated,old uncomfortable beds with mattresses that were broken,staff were not very friendly, spa facilities old and dated, no brochures, poor toiletries, noisy rooms.

Spoil yourself in a lovely extension of your home

The facilities, room and staff were superb. We did not have any food as it was a short stay. This is a lovely place, which we have previously stayed in, hence this one night stopover again. I can highly recommend spending time here.

Had a good weekend only slightly marred by the issues above. Would consider staying again.

Good location with lots of parking. Short drive to Broughty Ferry. Hotel was pleasant. Great shower. Lovely receptionist on the Friday afternoon when we arrived who was very helpful. Room was very quiet.

Room was warm and windows did not let in much air. Fan provided though. One of the mattresses was worn and a little uncomfortable. Although the beds were made and bin emptied on the Saturday, the coffee, milk and biscuits were not topped up which meant we had to go down to reception on Sunday morning to ask for more. Unfortunately they only had milk there and no coffee and biscuits.

Location was ok and plenty of parking. Good access to public transport.

Hotel was shown as having a leisure club but hotel guests are not given access without paying an additional charge which is ridiculous. £7.50 to have a swim is just unacceptable.

Nice Place to Stay in Dundee, Scotland!

The hotel was clean inside and outside. There was plenty of free onsite parking. The room was a decent size and the bed was comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The free WiFi was fast and easy to connect with. The included breakfast had a nice selection and everything tasted delicious.

The hotel was older and had stairs, which could be a problem for some folks.

The facilities and location was excellent for our needs. Room was a nice size and comfortable.

On our arrival, the receptionist was quite rude and condescending. We had travelled over 400 miles by car so we had our "comfy clothes' on, not suited and booted which the receptionist clearly had an issue with. When I explained we had a reservation in the hotel, she stopped and looked at us both and said 'Are you sure' in a very snobbish tone. There was no customer care or pleasant greeting, just made to feel as though we were not good enough to stay in that Hotel. Once we found our room by asking another staff member, the bathtub had brown liquid on the top and bottom corners. Not very impressed at all.

Lovely location on the outskirts of the town and means a decent walk into the heart of the Ferry! Had a decent sized room with comfortable bed and good shower!

My room was very warm despite having a fan and windows open (above boiler room) and lots of flashing lights kept me awake. The King Size bed was two singles together which is not the same..

Quiet, clean option in a lovely garden area with lots of trees

Located in a quiet residential area with limited shops nearby means having a car is more convenient. The grounds are lovingly and beautifully maintained by the gardener lady we saw. There was plenty of parking. Reception desk staff were effective but not particularly friendly I felt but maybe I just caught them at a bad time. Staff at breakfast worked very hard to make sure everything was replaced as soon as it ran out. They were kept busy. Breakfast had a good selection of teas, coffees, fruit juice, cereal and yoghurt along with a great selection of hot options including bacon, sausages, black pudding, mushrooms, beans and tattie scones, so a big shout out for that. Apart from some bananas or apples, fruit was however mainly canned peaches or oranges. Some freshly cooked options can be requested. Our room was very clean, comfortable with an excellent bed and linens and good quality towels. A fan was supplied for warmer days as there is no a/c. It is Scotland!!

I stayed at the hotel for one night in a single room with ensuite facilities. The hotel was conveniently situated not too far from the main road and there was clearly ample parking available in the extensive grounds. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and when I arrived at my room I found it more than adequately sized for my needs and it had all the amenities you'd expect. I was soon ready for a quick pint after a long day's driving so made my way to the bar area which was very nicely appointed and had a decent selection of beers, in fact it was so nice I decided to purchase a second pint and a bag of crisps! Once again, the bar staff were friendly and helpful and I particularly enjoyed a lengthy chat about football in the area (among other things) with staff member Craig Bolton in between his duties. I then went back up to my room and availed myself of the coffee making facilities before finally retiring to a most comfortable single bed! After a refreshing night's kip I had a lovely shower and then made my way back to the car. All-in-all it was a lovely stay at what I considered to be a very competitive price which was elevated to a 10 due to my interactions with the staff. I can't comment on the quality of the dinner or breakfast as I didn't partake in either and this also applies to the myriad leisure facilities and activities on offer.

I honestly can't think of anything given that I only stayed for the one night and found everything to my satisfaction.
